Product Review: The Works Tub and Shower Cleaner

Do you have hard water or well water? If so, then you need The Works Tub And Shower Cleaner. While many tub and shower products might remove soap scum The Works also removes rust and hard water stains without breaking your back or your budget.

I first purchased The Works many years ago because I was pinching pennies and it was one of the lower priced products on the grocery store shelf. I didn’t have hard water or rust problems in my tiny apartment but I did live on a very limited budget. I discovered quite by accident when the bottle had tipped over and leaked onto my bathroom floor that it cleaned up old stains in grout quite nicely without scrubbing the floor. From then on I would only use The Works on my shower and sink plus I also sprayed it on the floor to clean the grout between tiles.

When I moved into my new home I thought I was going to have to replace the bathroom sink and bathtub because of the rust stains caused by the well water and old cast iron pipes. Like any new home owner I cleaned everything before I moved my own belongings into the house. The first room I started with was the bathroom. I sprayed the bathtub and sink with The Works and left the room to go retrieve a few other supplies. When I returned five minutes later I was amazed at what had happened. The areas on both the sink and bathtub where I had sprayed The Works no long had rust stains! I couldn’t believe it! What I thought would end up costing me a few hundred dollars before labor to fix had cost me less than $3.00!

It took about three applications and one good scrubbing to completely remove all of the rust from the bathtub and sink but when I was done; both the sink and the bathtub looked brand new without any trace of rust left behind. After this, I used The Works on anything that had rust and found it removed it all with little to no scrubbing required.

The only possible drawback I can find with this product is that it could smell a bit nicer. While the scent isn’t terrible it could be a bit lighter. This is a small price to pay when avoiding the harsher rust removers that are also significantly higher in cost and work.

Do keep in mind The Works does have chemicals that remove rust so you should wear rubber gloves as it can irritate the skin and do not spray in areas that have poor ventilation as ingesting the vapors of any cleaning product is not healthy.

If you want a product that is cost efficient, time efficient try The Works Tub And Shower Cleaner!!!
