Pizza Nea: Classic Neapolitan Pizza in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Pizza Nea is a classic Neapolitan pizza eatery located at 306 East Hennepin, Minneapolis, Minnesota. If bubbling hot mozzarella cheese pizza with your choice of toppings sounds appetizing, Pizza Nea is the restaurant for you. At Pizza Nea there is a Happy Hour daily from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. During this time tap beer is on special for $2.50. You can also receive free soda with the purchase of any pizza. Monday and Tuesday the special is half of a bottle of wine with the purchase of two or more pizzas.

Begin your eating experience with a mouth-watering appetizer served piping hot. Choices include Bruchetta, Crostini, Polpette Napoletanna, and Pizza Nea’s specialty Carciofo, which is homemade roasted artichoke dip served with your choice of focaccia or toasted bread. Take your time savoring every bite awaiting your main course.

All pizzas are made using extra virgin olive oil and sea salt unless you request different. You can have your choice of red or white pizza since at Pizza Nea the aim is to please. Red pizzas are covered with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese. If you would prefer a calzone, all available pizzas can be made into a calzone upon request.

To appease even the tiniest of appetites, Pizza Nea offers children a pizza of their own. The Pizzetta is a child size pizza for one. This pizza is topped with crushed San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil.

If you are not in the mood for pizza, Pizza Nea has an answer for this as well. Enjoy one of the many focaccia sandwiches or salads. Quattro Formaggi is a popular favorite. This is made with crushed San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, gorgonzola, smoked mozzarella, Paramigiano-Reggiano, sea-salt and extra virgin olive oil.

Create a pizza that is exactly to your liking with your choice of toppings. Available toppings include basil, capers salt pack, extra virgin olive oil, onions, balsamic vinegar, garlic, grilled eggplant, pepperoncini, San Marzano tomatoes, pine nuts, roasted red peppers, roasted yellow peppers, walnuts, mozzarella, sausage, anchovies, Roma tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, or arugula. With this many toppings to choose from you are sure to be able to find something that sparks your interest.

Beverages available at the Pizza Nea include alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic. Coffee and espresso, cappuccino, tea, milk, soda, lemonade, and San Pellegrino water are all non-alcoholic choices. Alcoholic choices include a variety of wines as well as domestic or imported beer.

One visit to Pizza Nea will have you searching for schedule for another. The food is to die for. Just when you think you can’t eat anymore, asks the server to inform you of the homemade dessert choices of the day. Finish your dining experience with the sweet special of the day!
