Pampers Easy Ups Vs. Pampers Easy Ups Feel ‘N Learn

Pampers, Training Pants

In our journey in raising our youngest child, we have tried many products. One of our overall favorite brands have been Pampers. Now that our son is a busy toddler, our taste remain the same. However, our newest dilemma was we now had to decide which pull-ups were the best fit for our son and for our family. Pampers offers two choices in disposable training pants for toddlers. Pampers Easy Ups are there basic no-frills brand, while Pampers Easy Ups Feel ‘N Learn claims to have a bonus feature sure to speed up your journey through potty training.

In the beginning, I couldn’t wait to go buy my son’s new “big boy pants”! I am guilty of being lured in by neat features and cool extras. At the store, I compared all of my options that fell into the Pampers brand category. My choices included Pampers Easy Ups and Pampers Easy Ups Feel N’ Learn. Both versions offer their training pants with Diego, a popular cartoon character, on them. Since my son loves Diego, this helped make potty training appeal even more to our him. Both were equally appealing to me, but my love of cool features crept up on me. I quickly grabbed the Feel N’ Learn version. After all, they say this new added perk would help speed up potty training and I could not wait to be done with it.

I brought them home to my very excited little boy and we put them on. They worked very well for our basic needs. They proved to be a durable product as they held up well for my active little boy. We were surprised to learn that we didn’t experience any leaks as well. The Pampers Easy Ups Feel ‘N Learn even saved us from the dreaded night time leaks. We soon discovered where the catch came in. Our son did not mind being wet in his new training pants. He did not seem uncomfortable at all. The product should have made him uncomfortable due to the moisture near his skin.

During our next trip to the store, I looked at my options once again. I notice the regular Pampers Easy Ups were a bit cheaper. Given our recent experience, I made my selection. I was excited to give these a try to see if there was in fact, any difference at all. They were durable and we experienced no leaks again. Unfortunately, he also didn’t seem to mind being wet in these either. We brought them home with the exact same experience we had with the Pampers Easy Ups Feel N’ Learn.

Pampers Easy Ups Feel ‘N Learn claim they have a “suspended Wet Sensation Liner™, which allows little ones to feel when they’re wet to help them learn”. I had hoped this might speed up our potty training. It occurred to me at one point that maybe our son just didn’t mind being wet. I then grabbed a couple and put them to the test!

I decided I would try similar test as shown on the commercials. I simply poured water into the Pampers Easy Ups and the Pampers Easy Ups Feel N’ Learn. I felt them with my hands and they were both equally wet. I checked again in twenty minutes and experienced the same results again, with both the Pampers Easy Ups and the Pampers Easy Ups Feel ‘N Learn being damp.

We have now compared both products several times and we see no difference between the two other than the price. This added feature seems to only improve the profits of the Pampers company, but certainly not the families that purchase them. We now use the Pampers Easy Ups to save on costs. They have proved to be a better fit for not only our son, but our family as well.
