Once Upon a Child Consignment Store in Greensboro, NC

Everyone is aware of the fact that baby, toddler and children’s items are expensive. For the amount of time they use them, is there really a point in purchasing all of the ideas that they need at full price? It is great to have a store that we can go to and purchase or sell gently used items that we need. Once Upon A Child does not purchase dirty, stained, tattered, torn, recalled or out-of-date items. If an item has been involved in a recall, they will research it and see if it has been affected. The purchasers stay current on the going prices and set their offering and selling prices accordingly.

While I was pregnant with my first child, I discovered a store called Once Upon A Child. Basically, it is a consignment store for infants through a children’s size 16. If a child uses it, they most likely have it. They sell a full range of girls’ and boys’ clothing, shoes, hats and other accesories for all seasons. Of course, the clothing is put out during the appropriate time of year. Normally, you could not find summer clothes in the store during the winter and vice versa.

Once Upon A Child carries a large variety of baby toys and equipment, including cribs, toddler beds, infant swings, bottles and feeding supplies, bathtubs, highchairs, bouncy seats and play gyms. Seriously, if it pertains to babies, toddlers or children you can count on Once Upon A Child to carry it. If for some reason they do not have what you are looking for in stock, they will add your name to a wish list and call when it is available. Parents can also find the most up-to-date toys, books, games, cd’s and videos at discounted prices.

Not only does Once Upon A Child sell gently used children’s items, they also purchase them. The store depends on the community to bring in their gently used children’s items for purchase. Unlike most consignment stores, Once Upon A Child pays upfront payment for anything that is purchased. The customer brings in their items and a Once Upon A Child employee goes through the stuff. Anything that they want to buy, they will put into a basket and then they will make an offer on your items. You can either accept their monetary offer or decline if it does not meet your expectations.

Once Upon A Child does offer sales throughout the year. Most of the sales will be offered around holidays, season changes and at the beginning of a new school year. Once or twice a year, the store offers a stuff-a-bag sale where you can stuff a bag full of specially marked items for one set price, which is usually $5. If you are looking for baby clothes, you can stuff a lot of itty bitty clothes in a bag and save alot of money!
