NFO My Survey – Used to Be Good

Survey companies can be a good source of extra money if you find the right ones. And, a few months ago, I would have been recommending NFO My Survey to you.

I joined My Survey a couple of years ago as a way to make a few extra dollars. And, for a while, I found it was a pretty decent source of income. I didn’t make a fortune on it, or even hundreds of dollars. But, I got enough surveys to qualify for a $10 check every couple of months. It was so reliable, I encouraged my family and friends to join; something I don’t do unless I’m really sure of something.

The one advantage My Survey had over other on line survey sites is, when they sent you a survey you qualified for it. You didn’t have to go through a series of questions just to find out you weren’t what the company was looking for. I liked that much more than many of the other sites I belong to that send me a survey offer every couple of days but I only qualify for about one-fourth of them. And, the surveys usually didn’t take more than a few minutes to fill out.
However, like I said before, that was a few months ago. Today, I’m not sure if it is a company I would recommend to anyone. This is because, based on my personal experience with the site, I see nothing that would make me want to recommend it.

I logged onto the site this morning and I have 100 points, the equivalent of $1.00. I need 1000 points ($10) to receive a check. On one hand, I’m 1/10th of the way to that goal. However, if you do further research, you would learn I earned that first 100 points several months ago and haven’t had a chance to earn anything since.

That’s right, the site I used to rely on for a survey at least once every couple of weeks hasn’t sent me a new survey in almost a year. While I earn payouts from several other sites on a monthly basis, I haven’t even come close to doing that on My Survey.

I would be fine if I knew why, but I’m not sure about that. I know they are still up and running because they do things like member polls and are constantly making new announcements. I’ve sent them e-mails asking if there was a reason I wasn’t receiving anything but I haven’t gotten any replies back.

My belief is they just aren’t finding anything that matches my profile. Of course, when I joined the site, I didn’t have any kids and wasn’t a home owner; two things that would probably get me plenty of surveys. However, I’m not able to make any changes to my profile on the site and I haven’t been able to find anything that gives me a clear explanation about how I can do that. My Survey used to send a yearly survey to its members as a way to do this and would even give the members points for filling the survey out. But, they haven’t done that recently. And, like I said before, I haven’t heard anything back from my e-mail inquiries.
Again, survey companies can be a great way to make some extra money online. However, if you’re looking to make some real cash, stick to sites like Opinion Outpost or Your 2 Cents. You’ll most likely be cashing your second or third check with those before you’ll see your first payout with My Survey.
