Monkey Joe’s in Orlando

For many stay at home moms and working moms, keeping your children busy and entertained isn’t always easy. Luckily there is a place where you can take your kids and take a break from all the madness that comes with giving your kids attention. This amazing place as I like to call it is in reality called Monkey Joe’s.

It is located in Orlando, Fl. Monkey Joe’s is inside a mall called Festival Bay located on Oak Ridge and International Drive, not too far from the Prime Outlets.

Now let me begin with the taking a break part for all you moms, and dads that need it. I will start from the second you enter Monkey Joe’s till the part you leave. Once you are inside you are greeted by one of the staff members behind a counter. There you will notice a lot of candy, pretzels, balloons and pizza from Papa Johns which is my personal favorite. The staff member will ask you if you have ever been there before, now because you are reading this I am assuming you haven’t, so they make you fill out a sheet with your child’s name, then you must sign. It’s a waiver to make sure that they aren’t responsible if your child gets hurt. It makes sense because they do not have any staff watching the children, you as the parent should be looking after them at all times, which is our duty.

The entrance fee is $5.00 for kids and $0.00 for adults, what a bargain! Once you have signed they give you and your child a bracelet with a number on it, this lets them know you have paid and that you are ok to be in the play area. If you don’t have any socks with you don’t be worried they have socks that they sell for $2.00.

Now you enter and you will notice a lot of jumpers for kids to play in. They also have other games for those who prefer something different. The one thing I noticed which was really cool was an area with a wide screen TV and massaging seats for those parents who wanted to rest while they waited. For the smaller kids that aren’t old enough to play in the jumpers they have an area just for them.

Let your kids run wild in this play area and watch them closely, make sure they are having fun and not fighting with other kids. Once you are ready to leave you can get your kids and just walk out, or you can do like I do and buy a balloon and get your child to put their shoes on and give them the balloon when you exit, because we all know it isn’t easy to tell them we need to go when they are having so much fun.

You can also reserve a room for a birthday, this includes:

Private party room

Drink for each child

Paper plates, cups and utensils

Invitations

T-shirt for the birthday child

And they CLEAN UP FOR YOU!

If you reserve a room they give you 2 hours and 1 ½ in supervised play area.

If you reside in Orlando or just plan on visiting make sure you take your kids to Monkey Joe’s, it is an experience you won’t want to miss. Plus you can walk through the mall and shop for yourself, a treat for treating your kids.
