Mohegan Sun’s Seasons Breakfast Buffet in Uncasville, Connecticut: Review

Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut has a lot to offer from gambling, entertainment, and a full hotel, but during the morning hours, one of the best things to enjoy is their breakfast buffet. Instead of ordering just one meal from a restaurant, you could have as many as you wanted and have a variety of breakfast foods at this delicious buffet.

To locate the buffet, the best place to park in the Winter garage. From there, you enter in the Winter casino entrance and make your way down the escalators. At the end of the escalators, take a right and you will come across the entrance to the Seasons buffet. You pre-pay for your meal, with drinks included, and then you are brought to your seat where you can immediately go up and get your food.

The food section consists of four different sections, all of them offering a great variety of fresh breakfast items. The first section can be considered the more traditional breakfast items. Here you will find scrambled eggs, sausage, corned beef hash, and bacon. Some days the corned beef hash is replaced by roast beef hash, but more often than not, the choice is corned beef hash.

This section also featured a couple of specialty breakfast creations like breakfast quiche. The quiche is perfectly baked and goes fast so they are constantly putting new slices on the serving line.

Another specialty that is offered are ranch, cheese, and bacon tomatoes. The three ingredients are melted onto the top of a tomato for juicy and very tasty treat, but sometimes the serving tray becomes flooded with grease and this can ruin your appetite for food, so be cautious going towards the tomatoes.

The next section is usually the most crowded and this is the omelet bar. Everyday a cook or two prepares fresh omelets during the whole breakfast buffet. You can get a wide variety of ingredients in your omelet like bacon, mushrooms, peppers, ham, and almost anything else that you request. Your omelet is made right in front of you in about two minutes and the chefs are really impressive with their speed and ability in creating the food. Fruits, bagels, toast, and boxes of cereal can also be found in this section.

The third section features a mix of breakfast foods that you can fill your plate (and stomach) with. The first part features a meat cutting station with three different meats everyday and right next to that is the unique egg pizza. Down the line you will find biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and stuffed French toast among other things. At the end of this section, there is another cook waiting to take fresh orders. These can be for multiple kinds of pancakes (chocolate chips, blueberry, or banana) over-easy eggs, or even eggs sunny side up. This also features fast service and you will be enjoying your meal in no time.

The last section is the dessert section. It is mostly filled with stuffed pastries, and cake like desserts, but they are all very good, and there is even a sugar-free section for the diabetics. You will also find soft serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream with a variety of toppings like Oreo crumbles, sprinkles, and chocolate sauce.

Overall, the Mohegan Sun Seasons Breakfast Buffet is almost guaranteed to fill your stomach with so many different breakfast foods, its hard to choose what to fill your first plate with, but there is nothing to worry about because you can easily go up another one. Prices are around $11.00 per person and that includes drinks so your meal is easily paid for with a couple trips to the buffet lines.
