It’s time to get rid of your expensive cable bill; it’s easy to watch TV and movies free online! All you need is an Internet connection and your home computer. It’s simple, even for the technically challenged.

There are basically 4 kinds of Web sites that enable you to watch TV and movies free online.

The 1^st kind of website to watch TV and movies free online is sponsored by the actual network. For example: abc.com or showtime.com. You simply go to the website of the network that airs the TV show you want to see and the home page should direct you to the “full episodes” section of their website, there is usually an icon or tab. Abc.com is the best example of this type of watch TV free online website. They are a fabulous example of how the future if TV will be and have all their shows available online, with the newest episodes available for your viewing pleasure about 24 hours or less after their original airing. Other network sites have all episodes or just select episodes. The lame ones have only clips. If you live overseas or outside the USA, many of these sites block access to their shows, which is totally unfair. I think you can circumvent this by using a proxy server that is based in the USA, but I am not technically savvy enough to figure that out yet. My favorite places to watch TV and movies free online, especially if you are living overseas, are sites such as my personal favorite: http://tv-links.co.uk/. This website is amazing, doesn’t require registration, and has an online library of links to hundreds of old and new TV shows as well as Movies, Documentaries & Cartoons that let you view specific shows of your choice on demand online. This website has both old (My Favorite Martian) and new TV shows and movies. For instance, you can enjoy an episode from season 1 of Desperate Housewives or an episode from season 3, or simply take a sick day and marathon them all. These sites don’t always have the newest episodes, or all the episodes from every season, and some require registration but that is usually at no cost and no spamming. Another of my favorite places to watch TV online of this type is http://movies.nabolister.com/, they have movies and TV shows you can watch for free online. The 3^rd place to watch TV and movies free online are sites like http://freetube.110mb.com/ they provide links to actual TV stations such as ESPN , Al Jeezera English, Toonami & Fox channels. This is the most like actual TV, but not my favorite format. In this scenario you don’t get to choose the actual show like at the other websites, just the channel. You watch whatever they are airing, just like real TV. These sites are great for watching TV shows and movies in languages other than English, as they usually provide free online TV and movie channels in many languages from many different countries.

The 4^th option to watch TV and movies free online is by downloading episodes off torrent sites, and onto your computer. The downloading process may take 15 minutes, 15 hours or 15 days depending on it’s popularity. I’m sure some of you are quite familiar with this torrent process, while some of you are not. For those of you who are not, I’m not so sure how it’s done but you can research this easily on the internet.
