How to Make Beats at Home?

So I learned something pretty cool the other day. Did you know you can actually use your home computer to make great-sounding hip-hop beats, without having to purchase super expensive software? Really, I had always assumed that if you wanted to make your own beat, mix and make songs you had to purchase very expensive mixing equipment and software. I was looking around online, just wasting time at work as usual, and I came across a couple cool programs.

The two programs are called Sonic Producer and Dub Turbo. Pretty much anyone can use these beat-making programs to create quality beats from their home computer. Dub Turbo is a program you actually download and install on your computer, while Sonic Producer is completely online (you log into their website and use their online application to mix your beats). I’m sure there are other beat-making programs available other than these two, but these were the two names that kept popping up all over as I was researching how to make beats from home.
