How to Get White Teeth and Keep Them

I’m well known for being a bit of a nutcase when it comes to my dental hygiene. (I suffer from obsession, ok? Don’t judge me.) Toothbrushes litter the spaces I inhabit, and I even keep one in my handbag. I use at least two different mouthwashes regularly, and I brush teeth without mercy at least three or four times daily on a lax day. I’m even known to brush my teeth in the car.

You see, I drink lots of coffee and tea and all sorts of things that stain up your teeth, though I don’t brush my teeth so much with the express purpose of keeping my teeth white. That’s just a bonus.

But I have found out lots of tricks and tips and know the ins and outs of tooth care, and I can speak from experience on keeping white teeth.

How To Get White Teeth And Keep Them – Frequent Brushing
Frequent brushing is a must if you plan on having white teeth. I also recommend using a whitening toothpaste in the morning and keeping a plaque/cavity/germ-fighting type of toothpaste on hand for nighttime brushing or other brushing throughout the day. You don’t want to sacrifice health and nice breath for white teeth.

Stains and germs build up on your teeth throughout the day with everything you consume, and dark sodas, coffee, teas, etc., only make it worse. Smoking also yellows your teeth without mercy. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have pearly white chompers.

How To Get White Teeth And Keep Them – Whitening Mouth Rinses
A whitening mouth rinse will work if you use it consistently. (This means everyday. You have to be vigilant when it comes to your teeth!)

Not sure which one to choose? Here’s a review on one here.

Scope also makes a worthy whitening rinse.

How To Get White Teeth And Keep Them – Hydrogen Peroxide
If you don’t want to shell out the bucks on mouth rinses (who does in this economy, right?), you can use hydrogen peroxide.

Go ahead and read the ingredients on those whitening rinses. I guarantee they have hydrogen peroxide in them if they work.

How To Get White Teeth And Keep Them – Cut Back on Foods and Drinks Known for Staining
Now, I’m not one to tell someone to give up the things they love. I didn’t. I drink several pots of coffee every day, and I still get compliments on my teeth, but then again, not everyone is as obsessive as I am when it comes to dental hygiene.

If you just don’t have the will or can’t find the time to dedicate to fully taking care of your teeth, then it might help you get whiter teeth if you cut back on things like coffee, cigarettes, wine, tea, and others known for staining teeth in conjunction with using a whitening toothpaste and rinse.

Best of luck with the whitening up your pearly whites, and keep on smiling.
