You need to have both computer skills and PC game playing experience. By computer skills, I don’t mean programming and stuff! If you do have a real passion for video games, then it might be a great career for you. Game tester jobs will also allow you to get your foot in the game industry. This is crucial as it may create other opportunities for you. Other jobs such as game designer or game programmer are even better careers. But this is completely optional and if you want you can go on as a game tester as long as you want.
But great things will not just crop up like voodoo. While becoming a game tester is a very real possibility but if you do nothing, it will not come to your doorstep.
