Hope’s Counter Top Polish Shines & Protects

Finding a “natural” cleaner for my counter tops was difficult, and although my bottle of Hope’s Premium Home Care Counter Top Polish does not list the ingredients, the bottle does tell me what isn’t in it, and that swayed my buying decision.

Hope’s Counter Top Polish comes in a thin, oval shaped eight ounce bottle. The cap flips up to reveal a small hole, and it is easy to use. This cap has never clogged on me, a good sign!

The bottle states that it cleans and protects with a wax-free formula that will not build up on my counters. The back label states the cleaner is free of waxes, mineral oils, harsh chemicals, silicone resins, and abrasives. It claims to be safer and more effective than “ordinary” polishes.

So, what does it do exactly? The back label also claims that Hope’s Counter Top Polish qill quickly and easily enhance the look of counters, giving them a “Deep rich shine that repels dirt, minimizes stains and makes cleaning much easier”.

It is a versatile cleaner, and has other uses besides counter tops. It can also be used to clean kitchen cabinets, tables, bars, decks, vinyl, plastics and rubber. To use the cleaner you rub it onto a clean dry surface using a paper towel, then using additional paper towels you wipe it off, scrubbing until you have removed all of the cleaner.

I used this cleaner on half of my kitchen counter this morning, then compared the treated side to the untreated side. The results were pretty amazing! The side that I cleaned has a deeper tone, with a nice rich glow to it. Although both sides of my counter were clean to begin with, the untreated side actually looked dirty compared to the side that I polished with the Hope’s Counter Top Polish. And it has a pleasant, almost minty scent that is very appealing.

This cleaner can be used on Formica, Corian, Swanstone, Wilsonart, Gibraltar, Avonite, Nevamar, Surell, Pionite, and Fountainhead by Nevamar. It does leave a slick feeling on the counter top as well as on my hands, so this should never be used to clean floors, showers, tubs, or any other surfaces that you don’t want made slick. This is an awesome cleaner for our counter tops!
