One of the most common questions I got when I worked in the appliance department at my last job was, “I need a slide-in electric range. How do I know when a range is a slide-in?” One of the biggest features that a slide-in range doesn’t have is a back-splash. By not having a back-splash, than it means that all of the controls are going to be at the very front of the unit. And by having this means that you are going to experience a greater sense of ease, due to the fact that you won’t have to be reaching over hot pots and pans during the cooking cycle to change the temperatures. But, which slide-in range is worth buying? Well, I have seen literally hundreds of slide-in ranges pass through the doors of the appliance department, however, several of them really caught my attention by the features they obtained. And one of these ranges was the Frigidaire 30″ Self-Cleaning Slide-In Electric Range in Stainless-Steel.
This range is utterly breathtaking when you gaze upon it. The stainless set against the black cook top is one that will take your kitchen to new heights. However, I understand that buying a range based solely on looks is not a wise idea – and Frigidaire understand this as well. That is why they have put some of the greatest features in the range industry inside of this machine. And this technology starts with the control panel. With the EasySet 510 electronic oven control with key pad entry and integrated warmer drawer control, you will get nothing but utter accuracy in temperature control. As well with the precision set electronic surface element control for the cook top, you will get just that, precise temperature control! On the cook top there are two 5″ to 7″ expandable elements and two 6″ to 9″ expandable elements, which can accommodate pots and pans in a literal plethora of sizes.
Now, let’s talk about the oven. First off let me just say WOW, it is a massive 4.2 cubic feet in capacity. However, that isn’t what makes me say “wow.” The oven comes fully equipped with Dual Radiant baking technology. Basically, what this does is it automatically turns the top broil element on and off during cook times to give the inside of the oven consistent baking, roasting and browning. Also, the EvenCook3 element convection system is part of the automatic convection conversions, which automatically converts the temperature inside of the oven within various times of the cooking process – by doing so, you literally just push “start” and walk away. Some of the features that this oven possess is a six-pass broiler element for even cooking; Vari-Broil Temperature control and a porcelain broiler pan which is included. There is also a 1.6 cubic foot warm & serve drawer, which allows you to keep your food warm until it’s ready to be served. And to add the icing on the cake, there is a hidden bake element at the bottom of the oven, which makes cleaning a breeze!
The warranty of this electric range is fairly decent. It comes with a one year manufacturer’s warranty on parts and labor, however, it also comes with two years limited warranty on the glass smooth top, seal and elements. But, the two year warranty doesn’t cover labor. So, overall, this entire oven is amazing! I highly suggest it!!!
