Food Review: Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy

I find that the holidays can bring a rush of preparing meals when I do not have much time to do so. For those times, an easy to prepare item can be a blessing. I found Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy on my local grocery store shelf, during one of these times. I had never tried a ready made gravy, I always make my own. This time, I was unable to do so and had to find help. Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy seemed to be the answer.

At first glance, I was amazed that I was being offered a choice between regular gravy or fat free. That was wonderful! I love most Heinz products and made a decision that the fat free version of Heinz’s roasted turkey gravy would be better for me and my guests and taste just as good. Then I looked the jar of Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy over carefully, for more information.

The picture of a complete turkey and dressing dinner on the front of the jar looked very good and it showed a gravy serving on the turkey that looked very much like my homemade turkey gravy. I liked that I could see through the jar of this product and tell that this gravy was close to my liking, in color and thickness. I do not like a very thick turkey gravy and this gravy seemed to be perfect.

The nutritional information was encouraging. Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy has twenty calories a serving. Wow! That’s good. Zero fat! No trans fat, no saturated fat, no cholesterol. I liked that. Another stunning discovery was that this gravy has only two hundred and sixty mgs of sodium. Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy has no preservatives! The main ingredient in this gravy is turkey broth. That is what I use in my homemade gravy. I was very impressed with all of these facts and decided to purchase this gravy.

I really like the color of this gravy. It was very homestyle looking and just the right thickness for my liking. It was a perfect blend between a thick and thin gravy, right in the middle. Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy did not have many turkey giblets or pieces of turkey in it, which is how I like my gravy to be. The color and thickness of this gravy went on and with my dishes perfect and made all of them look great. When I tasted this gravy, I was very pleased.

It complimented my food and did not overpower it with a bunch of strong spices. It has some onion powder, garlic salt, soy and salt. This product does contain wheat, milk and soybeans. The taste of this gravy was excellent! I did not even notice that it was fat free. My guests didn’t either. The gravy received compliments, so I knew that this product was a winner. I made a good choice when I picked Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy. I think that this gravy makes my Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years day dishes special.

This product is inexpensive and much less in cost than other brands of gravy. For the holidays, needing many jars, all of this was important and a factor that I considered carefully before purchasing. For under two dollars a jar, I found that this gravy was not only budget friendly but, an excellent bargain. Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy helped me out of a holiday hard spot and did it wonderfully. I rate this product highly, four out five stars and I recommend it.

I will be buying this gravy again, when I need a quick gravy to go with meals. The jar that I bought even had a holiday recipe on it. It was a good one. The preparation of this product was super easy and fast! Three minutes in the microwave and it was done. You do need to refrigerate this product, after opening and be sure and use it before five days have passed. I liked everything about this product and thought that I made a great buy. This product made my holiday meal a joy to prepare.

Heinz makes quality products and Heinz Fat Free Roasted Turkey Gravy is no exception. I enjoyed trying this gravy. This company has been around for a long time and I noticed that their web site has many delicious recipes and other information. Considering the cost, the product, the information and recipes that I got, my money was well spent.
