Five Great Bands like Fall Out Boy

As the extremely popular band Fall Out Boy takes a break, it leaves many fans of their music wondering where to turn to for their tunes. There is so much music out on the internet that it can be impossible wading through it all to find a song or much less a band with a similar sound to Fall Out Boy. Fall Out Boy almost created their own genre, and it can be difficult to find anything that sounds much like them. These are five bands that are very similar to Fall Out Boy, for Fall Out Boy junkies.

The band most similar to Fall Out Boy is Panic! At The Disco. They have a very similar, and Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy even discovered them. Their first album is the most like Fall Out Boy, although their next album isn’t quite as similar. The song “I Don’t Write Sins, I Write Tragedies” is very much in the style of a Fall Out Boy. This band is probably the closest you will get to Fall Out Boy.

Another band with similar music to Fall Out Boy is Good Charlotte. However, it is their newer albums that sound most like Fall Out Boy. Their older are somewhat similar, but the newer stuff is the most comparable. Songs like “The River”, and “Wondering” sound a lot like Fall Out Boy. It depends if you’re more into newer or older Fall Out Boy, and newer Good Charlotte sounds more like newer Fall Out Boy. Good Charlotte songs also tend to be more about love and relationships than Fall Out Boy’s songs ever were.

The next band with music like Fall Out Boy is All-American Rejects. While they may be in the same sort of genre, All-American Rejects lean more toward pop than anything else. If you liked “Dance, Dance”, and “Sugar We’re Going Down”, then you might enjoy the All-American Rejects. The style to their music is similar to those songs, but not everything Fall Out Boy does. This band is not exactly the same, but it’s something in the same genre. The music is more similar than the lyrics are.

Jimmy Eat World is a great band to listen to if you love the lyrics of Fall Out Boy songs. The songs “Pain”, and “Future”, have some of the cool sinister lyrics sometimes employed by Fall Out Boy. They have a slightly different overall sound, but the genre is pretty much the same, and they have quite a few similarities. In this instance, the lyrics are more alike than the music itself. However, Jimmy Eat World is a great band worth checking out at any time.

The last band like Fall Out Boy is All Time Low. They are much more indie than they are pop punk, but they do have the same basic kind of music. The song “Dear Maria” sounds a lot like the latest music from Fall Out Boy, although they sound very little like the earlier songs made by Fall Out Boy. If you like Fall Out Boy, you may very well enjoy All Time Low. They don’t have the same originality in their lyrics, but their music can be very catchy.

These are all great bands to catch up with if you love Fall Out Boy. All of them are a wonderful idea to check out while you wait to see what happens with Fall Out Boy.
