I will admit it. I am a beauty product junkie. My drugs of choice are makeup and skincare products. Though I never turn down a new hair product offered to me either. If your beauty product habit is costing you hundreds or more a month, then perhaps subscribing to a beauty box membership can sate your habit. Here are five beauty box subscriptions that may help save you hundreds and satisfy your product obsession.

Sample Society
Sample Society is a limited-membership beauty box that is a partnership between BeautyBar.com and Allure Magazine. The price for membership is $15.00 per month. Each month you will receive a box filled with four to five deluxe samples of beauty products from top brands. When your box arrives, you get a $15.00 gift code on any $50.00 at BeautyBar.com. All you have to do to is include a full-sized version of one of your box’s products. While all of this is great, what finally sold me on the membership was a free one-year subscription to Allure.

Curlbox
I first heard of CurlBox in my local natural hair care group. Subscription price is $20.00 a month. You receive five to seven curly hair product samples. This has to be one of the hardest subscription box memberships I have come across so far. Demand is very high with membership sold out most of the time. You can sign up to receive notification when membership will be open again. I have missed on two open membership events so far.

Birchbox
This is one of the first box subscriptions that became popular. A variety of samples that Birchbox staff has tried themselves is shipped monthly for $10.00 a month. Birchbox has a separate membership for men as well. The box does not just contain beauty products but also lifestyle items and tips on how to use products within the box. I am sure the men will really appreciate the tips!

Julep Maven
Julep specializes in nail color as well as hand and foot skin care. To become a Julep Maven, you take a quiz to discover your style profile — I am Boho Glam. Once that is determined, your initial box will contain nail colors picked out based upon your style profile. The Boho Glam profile will receive Toni (Greige with a hint of lavender), Sasha (melon color), and Best Pedi Creme Ever! (foot cream). Membership is $19.99. Unlike other beauty box memberships, you can choose to skip a month or have a month’s box sent to a friend as a gift. There are also pre-paid memberships where you can pay for three months, six months, or a full year. You also have the ability to select a beauty box from a different style profile for any given month. This membership offers more flexibility than most which is something I like a lot.

BeautyArmy
BeautyArmy is another beauty box subscription that offers flexibility. You take a quiz to determine your style profile, nine products are selected for you, and you get to choose six of the nine to be shipped. You can skip a month if you would like and re-take your profile quiz to see different selections. You can choose a monthly recurring membership for $12.00 or pre-pay for a year at $132.00 getting one month free. Some of the samples will be from well-known beauty brands and some from lesser-known ones. So you may find yourself being a trendsetter if you find that you like a product not many have heard of.

These five beauty box subscriptions are affordable. Current subscribers that I know (myself included) enjoy the selections they receive. Shipping is free for each subscription box membership. So, if you are a product junkie subscribing to a beauty box may be the way to go. Besides isn’t it better to spend a little over $200.00 a year rather than every month?
