Fall Shower Curtain Craft Project: Falling Leaf Tree Shower Curtain

This Fall shower curtain is a fun, elegant, and whimsical way to decorate a bathroom for the Fall. This Fall shower curtain can be as elegant or colorful as you want, which makes it perfect to use in a guest bathroom, master bathroom, or even kid’s bathroom.

Trust me, n one will be able to resist touching these Fall leaves on the shower curtain!

To Make a Fall Leaf Shower Curtain Craft Project You Will Need:

1 plain canvas shower curtain

Black or brown fabric paint

Paint brush

Needle

Thread

Silk Fall leaves

To get started you need a basic an plain canvas shower curtain. Canvas works well because it is a great sturdy surface to start an art project on.

Now, choose a fabric paint in black or brown. We are going to create a tree trunk that looks like it is stamped on the shower curtain, so think about a nice dark color and only one color.

The real show stopper fall color in this shower curtain will be the Fall leaves falling from the tree.

Now, take your canvas shower curtain and lay it flat on the eground or a clean work surface.

Use a pencil to draw on a main tree trunk in the middle. If you are wary about drawing straight on the canvas, then lay out some sheet so news print to the same size as your shower curtain. Tape them together.

Draw your trunk on the paper and then cut it out. Use this to trace the tree on the canvas shower curtain.

Now, your tree needs to be the main tree trunk as well as some branches sticking out to the side. You only need the outline, just like trees you drew as a child.

Now, break out the paint. Use a 1 to two inch paint brush and dip it into the paint.

Outline the tree first. Now, start filling in the center. Do not fill in the tree completely. You wan tot leave some of the canvas exposed to create dimension.

Now, let the paint dry.

Once the paint is dry you are ready to start attaching your silk leaves onto the Fall shower curtain craft. Use some color ed thread, probably brown, or whatever matches the stems on the silk Fall leaves.

You can sew the leaves on with a sewing machine as well.

Now, if you are not a great sewer or do not have the time fabric glue is a great option. Do not use too much or lit will leak through the silk fall leaves ad showed through on the front of the Fall shower curtain!

While you are attaching the silk fall leaves you want to attach some to the branches, some falling in the air, and some laying on the eground below the tree on the ground!

This is such a cute Fall shower curtain craft project with a three dimensional touch.
