Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume for Women

My blood is not rich enough to support a Dolce & Gabbana perfume addiction. I have a few fragrances from the designer company, and for me it’s either a miss or a hit.

This weekend my sisters birthday passed, and instead of adding Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue to her wish list, she went out and bought it for herself. When we arrived for cake she brought out her perfume with a half crooked smile.

“What?” I asked.

“It smells like gerbil.” She said as she squirted some of it out onto my wrist.

“Why’d you buy it then?” I asked.

“It smelled like oranges in the store!”

I held the spray up to my nose after it dried. She was right, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue smelled just like the cedar chips you would add to your gerbil or hamster’s tank. I am weird though…I liked the smell, even though it did in fact smell like a hamster tank.

She then told me in about an hour the hamster smell goes away and the perfume smells sort of nice. Waiting for an hour though for the hamster stink to go away though was not her idea of pretty.

This was how I obtained my very own bottle of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. One gals hamster chips is another gals gift. Oh yeah!

Appearance:

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue comes in a gorgeous blue box, with the name of the perfume written in cursive on the upper part of the box. Inside of this pretty box sits a plain bottle of perfume bottle with absolutely no shape to it at all. It’s like a block. Not a bottle one would want to save after the perfume is gone.

Dolce Says:

Dolce & Gabbana say that Light Blue smells like Sicily cedar, (now that makes sense as to why the perfume smells like a frigging hamster), granny smith apples and notes of jasmine, bamboo, and white rose. The finishing notes are of course more hamster cedar, musk, and some amber.

The overall smell…hamster chips.

Haha!

Overall:

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is not for everyone. I’m telling you this stuff smells like a rodents tank. If you are not into inhaling hamster chips into your nostrils then pass this one by…and quickly.

Even after an hour passes, the notes of cedar are still very present, although you are able to smell a bit of granny smith apple after some time…the cedar smell will still be present.

Last:

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue lasts. Overall you are able to detect it on your clothing for almost an entire day, and some. Sadly for some though, it is a scent you may not want to last that long.

Where To Buy:

My sister picked her bottle up at a local Mandee’s store. You can also obtain Light Blue in Macy’s and any other store that carries designer fragrances. Light Blue though can run you anywhere from $20.00 to $80.00 depending on where you buy it, and what size bottle you pick up.

I recommend buying a very small sampler bottle first, to see if you like it. If you are weird like me, you may actually enjoy the cedar smell. It’s definitely different.
