Crossroads Mall in Cary, North Carolina

I just recently moved to the North Carolina area from Washington DC. The first place that I lived was Cary NC, because the hotels there had the cheapest rates online. Cary was also a central location that was very close to Raleigh and Chapel Hill NC. Those were both areas that I curious about living in.

I first stayed at the Red Roof Inn and then at the Days Inn. Both hotels were located on Walnut St. in Cary. Both hotels were located right across the street the from the Crossroads Mall and Shopping Center. This is one the best locations–I feel–in the Cary area to be around or stay around.

The Crossroads Mall has tons of great shopping. Some of the stores Crossroads had that I liked included Marshall’s and Old Navy. Crossroads Mall also had a store that I liked that purchased only name brand teen clothing and resold it second hand at a discount. This store was called Plato’s Closet. I thought this was really neat and unique. They also had other popular stores like DSW, Bath and Body Works and GNC.

Crossroads Mall had most things you could possibly need in one centralized location. Other stores included Dick’s Sporting Goods, Total Wine and More and Toys R Us.

In addition Crossroad’s also had an AC Moore and Michael’s which are two of my favorite stores as a jewelry designer.

They have an ULTA, which is a beauty supply store which is more high end. They have a Radio Shak, Bed Bath and Beyond, a big Pier 1 and a Party City. One thing to keep in mind about Crossroads Mall is that it is an outdoor mall. So if there is in-climate weather that day; it’s important to prepare for this. I moved to the Cary area right before Christmas and probably visited Crossroads mall at it’s busiest time. Lines were pretty long and the parking lots were pretty full; but quite honestly it wasn’t totally terrible.

This area was great for me. I was able to purchase everything I needed. I was in a new area and didn’t know where anything was. The Crossroads Mall is in a great location for anyone new to the Raleigh Triangle area.

Not only is the mall convenient; but the people are friendly and are very helpful in giving you directions and telling you anything you need to know about the area. There is also a great restaurant selection as well. Some of my favorite places to eat there were China King (Try the Seafood Delight if they have lobster in season); Red Lobster and Greek Fiesta.

The food at Greek Fiesta was especially delicious and the restaurant was very clean. The meat portion sizes could have been a bit larger though, because it was very flavorful. Other restaurants and food places in Crossroad’s Mallincluded Ruby Tuesday, Remington Grill, Honey Baked Ham, Starbucks, Chik-Fil-A, and many more.
