Coping with Seroquel Side Effects

One of the worst drugs known to man is the Seroquel 300. A few years ago, in the peak of my experimental drug use days, I was diagnosed with a variety of disorders and prescribe Seroquel for the anxiety and panic attacks I was enduring. I would not recommend taking this drug under any condition. Seroquel comes in two forms now – the regular and the XR. The former primarily used to treat bipolar and the latter for schizophrenia. However, the vast array of modern medicine-men has been known to prescribe Seroquel for a variety of disorders including: insomnia, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, OCD, suicidal tendencies, and a variety of psychoses.

In my personal experience with this drug, I was started on a low 50mg dosage and quickly found myself taking 300mg. Within minutes of taking the dosage (nighttime) my motor skills declined, words were slurred like a third-world drunk, and vision became rather impaired. After about 30 minutes I was completely unconscious.

Waking up in the morning was a completely different story. Trying to actually get out of bed in the morning is difficult enough carrying an assortment of diagnosed disorders. Adding the “hangover effect” of the Seroquel made it damn near impossible. After getting out of bed, my entire body would tingle in the worst way, my hands shook like a crackfiend, and my heart rate was elevated to the point where hospitalization was a possibility. I would feel light headed, confused, and spaced out. My mouth was dry and my throat ached. But let me not forget to mention the random leg cramps that would jar me from my deepest sleep – and then there were the ever-present visual and auditory hallucinations.

Every user has know associates and on one occasion this particular associate of mine decided it would be fun to take one of my prescribed Seroquel. At the time it was funny, but the effects were more than dramatic. This person essentially lapsed into a coma for 20 hours. After which time I was able to wake said person, but only conscious enough to open their eyes and then have them roll in to the back of their head and pass out again. At about 36 hours, this person regained motor function and was stumbling around cursing the drug and wondering where they were and the approximate date and time. The good news is they have vowed to never again take this horrible drug, as the effects and side-effects are worse than most narcotic purchased from your neighborhood drug dealer.

After viewing the Seroquel website I was able to gather this information. “Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis (having lost touch with reality due to confusion and memory loss) treated with this type of medicine are at an increased risk of death….Antidepressants have increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and actions in some children, teenagers, and young adults. Patients of all ages starting treatment should be watched closely for worsening of depression, suicidal thoughts or actions, unusual changes in behavior, agitation, and irritability….

To prescribe someone this drug is absolutely terrible. I have not heard of anyone reaping any benefits from this medication and only have heard of the terrors Seroquel brings with it. Stay away, refuse this ungodly refuge, and ask your doctor for Risperidone or some other substance that will not destroy you even further.
