Traveling in a large city like Chicago can be so much fun, but when you need the internet to stay connected or get a little work done, you will need to know the best places to access free internet and wi fi while in town.
Free Wi Fi in Downtown Chicago #1
First up is Panera bread located on the corner of Ontario and Fairbanks. This Panera bread is located in downtown Chicago and offers free Wi Fi Internet to all of its customers.
One of the great things about the free W Fi at Panera bread in downtown Chicago is that is really is free and there is no access code. Many free Wi Fi spots in Chicago, including your hotel, will often have an access code you must ask for or even worse, pay for!
The free Wi Fi Internet service at Panera allows you to log in for free, but you must accept their terms and conditions. Basically, their terms conditions for the free internet at their Downtown Chicago store says you can only use the internet for 30 minutes during peek times. So, basically if you are hogging a seat at Panera between the hours of 11am and 2 pm, you should be courteous of yoru neighbor.
Other than that the free Wi Fi Internet access at Panera Bread in Downtown Chicago is free and fast!
Oh, by the way, there is tons of seating inside and outside. If you are lucky enough to be in downtown Chicago in the summer and in need of free Internet access, then you can sit outside and people watch as you surf the web.
Inside you will find tables and comfortable armchair seating, just like a coffee shop.

Next up is Tutto Pronto, a small Italian café in downtown Chicago that also offers up free Wi Fi Internet service to customers. Tutto Pronto is a combination Italian eater, deli, coffee shop, and almost gourmet convenience store.
This is another great location for free Internet service in Downtown Chicago because the also offer inside and outside seating. Outside you will find about 6 café style tables perfect for surfing the web while sitting in the sun.
Inside are about twenty small café or bistro sized tables as well. There is a storefront so you can see outside as well.
I do have to say if you want some awesome coffee and gourmet food with your free Internet service or free Wi Fi in downtown Chicago, then Café Tutto Pronto is best. The food here is awesome and affordable.
You can find everything form a toasted bagel to a slice of hand tossed pizza to keep you energized while you surf the web in Chicago.
You do need an access code to get online at Café Tutto Pronto, but they are more than willing to share this with you at the counter when you pay for your food!
