Best Farmer’s Markets in Orlando

Orlando is home to a wealth of grocery stores that sell fresh produce, and you’ll even find a couple of Whole Foods markets scattered around the city. But, the locals know there’s a better way to get fresh fruits and vegetables year round; the best Farmer’s Markets in Orlando take place on Saturdays and Sundays all year long, and offer some of the largest selections of produce, baked goods and crafts from local artisans. Here’s where you’ll find some of the most-visited Farmer’s Markets in the city:

Central Florida Farmers’ Market
Head to the Central Florida Fairgrounds on West Colonial Drive to explore one of the largest Farmer’s Markets in the city. The Central Florida Farmers’ Market features over 200 vendors that showcase baked goods, arts and collectibles, books and fresh fruits and veggies from the area. Sand Lake Farmer’s Market, Orlando
If you’re near Universal Studios or Disney, you can make a pitstop at the Sand Lake Farmer’s Market that’s held each Saturday morning in the Whole Foods parking lot. This medium-sized market features live music, beer and about two dozen vendors. Head here for Southern bakery treats, fresh fruits and vegetables, organic soap, and crafts from area artists. This market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is located at 8003 Turkey Lake Road.

Orlando Farmer’s Market at Lake Eola
When you’re venturing into the downtown area, head to the beautiful Lake Eola for the wine and beer garden, live music and dog-friendly event. The Lake Eola Market is one of the longest-running markets in Orlando; it’s been serving the area since 1987, and features vendors selling exotic orchids and bonsai trees, organic tomatoes and corn, Latin and Jamaican foods, dried spices and a lineup of arts and crafts. Farmer’s Market at The Village at Hunter’s Creek
Hunter’s Creek is a short drive from Kissimmee and Disney parks, and about 15 minutes from Universal Studios. You can head to The Village marketplace to enjoy the weekly Farmer’s Market that features fresh baked goods, eco-friendly jewelry and collectibles, and a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The weekly event also features live music and entertainment.
