Basketball Summer Camps in Louisville, Kentucky

Basketball is a way of life for many residents of Kentucky, and with two top college basketball teams in the state, many kids grow up with big basketball dreams. Many summer camps are tapping into the popularity of the sport this summer, and will be hosting summer basketball camps in the Louisville, Kentucky area this year. Here are a look at a few of the summer basketball camps your kids can choose from this year.

Basketball Academy
Located just off of Exit 30 on the Gene Snyder Freeway the Basketball Academy has a convenient location for parents bringing their kids to the summer basketball camps they will be offering this summer. Boys and Girls ranging in age from eight to eighteen will enjoy learning the fundamentals of the game while more skilled players can enjoy fitness and conditioning clinics. Clinics will be taught by basketball greats such as Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics, Larry O’Bannon, and Coach Steve Small. The week long camps range in price from $100 to $139. Higher Level Basketball (HLB)
Higher Level Basketball located on Oak Pointe Drive will be offering fundamental and specialty basketball camps this summer. Whether you child needs to work on their shooting, or just needs to learn the basics of basketballs Higher Level Basketball has a camp to fit their needs. They offer three day camps for boys in grades for through twelfth, and one camp the week of July 7th through the 10th for girls in grades fourth through twelfth. They also offer two shooting camps for both boys and girls in grades fourth through twelfth that will be held on June 20th and 21st, and on June 27th and 28th. A Pee-Wee camp for both boys and girls in grades first through third will be held August 4th through the 8th. All camps offer three hours of fundamental instruction and drills, as well as daily contests to work on skill. Lunch is included during the day camps, and all campers will receive a tee-shirt, basketball, and a personal evaluation from the camps instructional staff. HOOPS
HOOPS, located on Sycamore Station Place, will be offering a wide variety of summer camps this year. Most camps will be co-ed but a few will be held strictly for boys or girls. Most camps are divided into different age and skill groups, and are designed to sharpen campers fundamental skills while getting them ready for the season. For those new to the sport there are camps that teach the basics of the game.
