Banana Boat Suntan Lotion Reviews

Banana Boat is a funny name and it made me want to try the products. I used Coppertone with some dissatisfaction simply because I remembered the little girl with her swimsuit being pulled on by a puppy and showing tan lines that was featured on the bottle when I was a little girl. Talk about the power of advertising! Banana Boat did it all over again and lured me with their tropical name.

I discovered the Banana Boat products were more than a catchy name. I am very satisfied with the results. I like to get a sun-kissed glow during outdoor activities in the summer without burning or exposing myself to harmful rays. My husband has suffered with skin cancer and in my youth I did some permanent damage to my skin using baby oil to bake during my teens. When I used other sunscreens, I always wound up getting burned at some point during the summer season. Banana Boat smells nice, feels great and offers a variety of products with different levels of protection for everyone in the family and all skin types.

For the kids, I use the Banana Boat Sport Sunblock Lotion with an SPF of 15 or 30, depending on where we go. They also make special formulas for babies that are gentle and effective. I like the sport sunblock because it is waterproof so the kids can go in and out of the water and still be protected against the sun. The formula is sweatproof, which also works well for my husband so this product is versatile for our family.

I happen to use the Banana Boat Protective Tanning Oil with an SPF of 15. You spray it on easily and can start sunning on the deck whenever you have a few minutes. It contains carrot and banana extracts so the aroma takes you away to an island – even if it’s just for five or ten minutes.

When the kids go on field trips, I pack up the convenient Banana Boat Kids Sunscreen Stick with SPF 30. The stick can be used on the ears, nose, face and lips where the sun hits the kids as they play on the field, visit animals at the zoo or go to the beach with their classmates. Because the formula is in a stick, you never wind up with a backpack full of gooey lotion or oil. For camp trips, the kids have their own sunscreen so they can protect themselves along the action-packed trails.

After sun exposure and outdoor activities, you can wind up feeling dry. Your skin needs nourishment and I love the Banana Boat products for this purpose, too. The Banana Boat Moisturizing Aloe After Sun Lotion has aloe vera and vitamin E to soothe your skin. The lotion is silky with a smooth scent and feel. It also helps to maintain that sun-kissed glow. To keep your lips supple and protected, the Banana Boat Aloe Vera with Vitamin E Lip Balm is a superior choice because it has SPF 30 and it’s waterproof so you can go swimming without getting parched lips.

The first Banana Boat product I tried was the Sport Sunblock and after that I would up getting the entire line of products to handle every aspect of sun protection. I highly recommend Banana Boat for a safe, sun-kissed glow.
