Shakira’s She Wolf Album

Shakira’s worldwide fan base have long anticipated a new album after Oral Fixation debuted in 2005. Four years later, we have her newest album making a scene, labeled She Wolf. Like past albums she has done, it is a mixture of both English and Spanish Latin-pop. What is new about the She Wolf album is that she has decided to explore the world of Electro-pop. While it is a new sound Shakira fans are not used to from the artist, the first released single from the album has proven it is just as much a hit as past singles. It was released in both Spanish and English with the titles “Loba” and “She Wolf”.

Shakira has said that she wanted her She Wolf album to be more of a dance hall type of album that fans could dance to. While she is most famous for her eclectic belly dancing moves that stems from her Lebanese heritage, her video showcases a completely different type of dance that have both intrigued and fascinated fans. She Wolf was created to celebrate women, their independence and their strength. Shakira is the epitome of both as a successful songwriter, artist and dancer. While the Electronic element is dominant in the album, fans will still be delighted to hear the other influences, from Colombian to Middle Eastern and African.
