A candle above the fireplace on Main Street U.S.A. In Disneyland always burns. This is to show that the spirit of Walt Disney will always be there. The tradition started after Disney died. The reason for this is that when Disneyland was being built, Walt Disney had a private apartment built about the fire station. He could live there and supervise the building of the park. After the park was built, Disney and his family still used the apartment. Whenever he was there, he would light the candle. Now, the candle is always lit as if he were there to indicate that his spirit is there.
