5 Best Gyms on the Emerald Coast

Best Gyms, Best Gyms In, Emerald Coast, Fitness Gym, Fort Walton Beach

Destin Athletic Club

868 Highway 98 East – Destin

Between West Marine & Texaco

I’ve been a member at Destin Athletic Club for over a year now. This gym is small but don’t let its size fool you. It’s packed with treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes (each with small cable televisions in front of them) on one side, and weight equipment on the other. DAC has Expresso virtual reality bikes, which are really cool! You bike different courses and difficulty levels, and you can even compete against the person on the bike beside you. Their weight equipment includes the Star Trac Human Sport Line, Cybex, and Nautilus. DAC also has dumbbells and a range of benches to use. One of the things we also love about DAC is that they’re never crowded, so we don’t have to wait to use equipment.

Destin Athletic Club memberships don’t require long commitments. You pay a one-time fee and then pay month to month. For the two of us, we pay $65 total every month. We get unlimited access seven days a week from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. This is just one of their several membership options. Check them out at www.dacfitness.com for more info and pictures.
