Earning potential for an entrepreneur far exceeds that of an employee. If you stick around long in Corporate America it will happen to you eventually and that is hitting the ceiling on how much you are able to make a year. As an entrepreneur your earning potential is limitless as there is no ceiling, this also hold true for the floor. Let’s also clear the air on the work that is required to achieve this as an entrepreneur. Remember that as an employee you are paid for time as an entrepreneur you are paid on production. What ever business venture you may choose it most often is not an overnight success so set realistic income short term, mid term and long term goals for yourself as an entrepreneur and your new found company.

Being able to make your dreams become reality. When you make the decision to become an entrepreneur every action you take determines what vision you show the world. It is up to you and you alone to create or find the opportunity that will allow you to take your dreams and turn them to reality. This road called entrepreneurship is not always paved and is often times quite bumpy and you need to clearly define your “Why” of when times get tough you stick it out to see your dreams manifest them.

Designing your own schedule for life on your terms. The life as an entrepreneur, often times made glamorous but only after you put in the time in the beginning. You have now transitioned from full time cube dweller to full time entrepreneur. You absolutely can determine when you will be available to your business. Soccer game practice at 3PM? You can make it with out the worries of racing home in rush hour traffic. What about that meeting for a potential consulting client at the same time? Don’t confuse my intentions – I would never ever change being an entrepreneur. You will realize that your schedule does become more flexible as you bring on partners or are able to outsource and become more efficient with your time.
