5 Top Aerobic Workout DVDs

Leslie Sansone, Workout Dvds

Aerobic workouts are an excellent way to condition your heart, lose weight, build muscle, and tone and sculpt your body. Most aerobic workouts are designed to help work every muscle in the body, while providing you with energy to get you through the long day ahead. With the every growing number of aerobic workout DVDs to choose from, it can be hard to make a good purchase. Here is a list of five aerobic workout DVDs with five star ratings.

Leslie Sansone’s 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk is designed for the indoors. That is right, the indoors. This intermediate to advanced aerobic workout is comprised of four basic steps, which are marches, knee lifts, side steps, and kicks. Do not think that these simple moves will make your workout boring, because each mile is different. Leslie keeps the motivation going with varying the exercises and music. Arm movements and even some jogging is includes in the segments. Depending on your schedule, you can choose the number of miles you want to walk, as each mile is broken down into a segment, and each mile is paced at about 12 minutes.

Dance Off the Inches Hip-Hop Party is a fun aerobic workout DVD that is not only a great beginner to intermediate level workout, but also teaches you the hip-hop dance styles of old school, sexy-smooth, and world-beat. Learning just 10 hip-hop moves for this workout will get you in shape, burn fat, and tone muscles. Expert instructor Jennifer Galardi leads you from one move such as the “butterfly” to the “throw down” to the “catwalks” and many others. Hip-hop dance had been sighted for helping to flatten the stomach and create washboard abs.

ShapelyG Girl – Let’s Get Moving is designed for plus-size women, with a strong emphasis on building confidence in performing aerobic workouts. Debra Mazda, 165-pound fitness pro, keeps you motivated through easy-to-follow instructions. This 32-minute beginner to intermediate level aerobic workout comes with a nine-minute toning segment, and the hip shaking segment really puts you in the workout mood.

Party Off the Pounds with Richard Simons is one of my favorite aerobic workout DVDs. The motivation never stops while working out to great hits such as “True Colors,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” and “Shake It Up.” Richard has been a fitness guru for years, so he knows what works and what does not. He expertly guides you through 50 minutes of easy to follow instructions like kicks, marches, grapevines, knee lifts, and more. This workout features a warm up and cool down section.

Fit to the Hits is an aerobic workout DVD with fitness pro Tamilee Webb as the instructor. I workout to this DVD when I am pressed for time as it is only 33 minutes runtime. Tamilee gives clean instructions on the different moves that makes it easy to follow along. The music “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” “Nowhere to Run,” “I Can’t Help Myself,” and others keeps you motivated through the workout. With a beginner to intermediate level, it makes it ideal for those who are just starting a new workout routine.
