With summer coming right around the corner, you may be looking for ways to make your skin look tan without having to lie in a tanning bed every day. I’ve found a better solution and alternative to tanning beds. It’s called the Hawaiian Tropic Island Glow Daily Moisturizer.
Hawaiian Tropic carries a variety of products for the sun, including sun block, tanning lotions for both indoor and outdoor tanning, lip care, moisturizers, after sun care and sun burn relief products. All of their products are affordable, especially the Island Glow Moisturizers, at less than $10 at most drugstores. There are a few different types of this lotion for different skin tones, including “medium skin tones” lotion, which I have used.
This moisturizer is meant for daily use, and will keep your skin looking healthy and soft, while giving you a radiant glow. Within a few applications, you’ll definitely notice a difference in your skin’s color. If you use it once a day for a few days, your skin will have a nice tan. The only thing is, you’ll need to keep applying this moisturizer a couple times per week to keep up with your desired color, or else it will fade.
To apply the moisturizer, make sure your skin is clean. It’s best to apply it right after you get out of the shower. Apply it just like you would any other lotion, and make sure you rub it in completely over the desired areas. Don’t apply it on your face; there are other glow moisturizers made to use on your face. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the moisturizer, and then let your skin dry for a few seconds before you get dressed. This lotion will discolor light colored clothing. If any irritation occurs with application, stop using it.
The Island Glow Daily Moisturizer is suitable for any skin tone, fair or dark. This is a subtle tanning lotion, meaning it will add a glow to your skin and not give you that orangey-fake tan look. If you rub the lotion in completely, it will not streak unlike most self-tanners. The moisturizer contains aloe and vitamins A, C and E, along with a blend of exotic Hawaiian moisturizers. It does not contain a sunscreen, so you should use a good sunscreen if you’re going to be out in the sun, with a high SPF to protect your skin against sunburn. Don’t worry about this product being greasy, because it isn’t! Unlike most other lotions, this moisturizer is non-greasy and won’t clog your pores.
In my opinion, this is a great alternative to tanning beds and even the self-tanning products that you normally see in the stores. Tanning beds aren’t the safest thing in the world, and they can also be expensive. I wouldn’t use a self-tanner anyway, because every self-tanner I have used in the past gave me a fake looking tan, with lots of streaking. People can definitely tell if you’ve used one of those self-tanners, no matter how much the product claims to be “natural”. It doesn’t get any more natural than this glow moisturizer. Not only is this a safe way to tan, it’s affordable too! I am very pleased with the results I’ve gotten with the Hawaiian Tropic Island Glow Moisturizer, and I enjoy the great fragrance of green tea that comes along with it. If you can apply lotion to your skin, then you will have no problem obtaining a gorgeous tan for summer.
