Review: Rue 21’s Revert Eco Perfume

Being green is good – and having green is good too, if you know what I mean. Revert Eco by Rue 21 is one of my absolute favorite perfumes and here’s why:

Revert Eco (to me) smells good. It doesn’t necessarily smell the best, but who wants to wear their special perfume everyday? That’s a big bonus to Revert Eco. I can wear it every single day without breaking the bank or damaging the planet.

Revert Eco is made out of all-natural, planet-friendly materials and is NOT alcohol based, unlike most perfumes and colognes, so there is no overpowering, left-over smell of alcohol.

The pretty, see-through glass bottle is adorned with the name and an intricate design of flowers, all of which are in green. The cap is silver; the bottle is a rounded square. Revert Eco comes in a box made entirely of recycled materials.

What I’m saying is that if you are trying to be as green as you can possibly be and as friendly to the planet as you can be in all aspects of your life, Revert Eco will help you out. It doesn’t contain any chemicals, uses no aerosol, and comes in an already recycled box that you can recycle again.

Bonus: it comes in a men’s and a women’s scent. Obviously, I wear the women’s, but the men’s smells good too.

Here’s the real kicker of the whole thing. I can almost guarantee that Revert Eco is cheaper than your current perfume if you buy from almost any retailer. A bottle of it only cost $10.00. (All of Rue 21’s perfumes do, but why not go green if it smells good?)

I can’t really find a fault with Revert Eco. Of course, like any particular scent, it can get a bit dull if worn day after day after day with no change in the lineup, but the smell of it isn’t something that only smells good the first couple of times you wear it and then is no longer agreeable. As I’ve already mentioned, Revert Eco is the kind of smell you can wear every day, but it isn’t necessarily the perfume you wear when you go out with your boyfriend (not that mine doesn’t like the way it smells – you girls know what I mean).

Plus, I just like the bottle. What can I say?

Two thumbs up, Rue 21, and two thumbs up, Revert Eco.
