Review: Children’s Benadryl Allergy Quick Dissolve Strips

Benadryl, Runny Nose

If you have small children or grandchildren that get sick from time to time and need medications, you know how hard it can be to administer the medication when the child doesn’t like the taste. Well, that’s not the case with Children’s Benadryl Allergy Quick Dissolve Strips.

Children’s Benadryl Allergy Quick Dissolve Strips are found in grocery stores as well as any pharmacy. They are found in a pink package that contains 10 strips. Each strip contains 12.5 mg of Benadryl. The strips are individually wrapped and they dissolve instantly on your tongue.

I was taking care of my granddaughter who had the sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes caused by allergies to the pollen that is really dense in our area. I went to town and got the pink box. I read it and thought it would be fine for my grandchild. I picked this brand over other brands because she does not like to be spoon fed “icky” tasting medicines as she calls them.

To my surprise and delight my granddaughter placed the vanilla mint strip on her tongue and let it dissolve. She didn’t mind it at all. In fact she called it “good”. In just a few minutes her symptoms started to clear and she yawned a little bit. I asked her to lie down for a while to let the medicine work. The next time I checked on her she was sound asleep. Her mom said she had not slept well the last few days because of sneezing and runny nose. This product relieved her symptoms and allowed her to rest for a while and I was glad to see this.

Children’s Benadryl Allergy Quick Dissolve Strips contain diphenhydramine, the ingredient in Benadryl, which causes sedation. In some children it may cause excitement, but usually it will cause drowsiness. If your child has conditions such as glaucoma or bronchitis, or asthma you should consult with your pediatrician prior to giving this or any medication.

Children’s Benadryl Allergy Quick Dissolve Strips really worked well to relieve my granddaughter’s allergies. The dosage is recommended every 4 to 6 hours, and she was symptom free for more than 8 hours without needing another strip. I would recommend this product to anyone who has children with allergies. This medication is recommended for children between the ages of 6 and 12.

If I were to give this product a number rating between the numbers of 1 and 10, I would give it a perfect 10. It worked very well.
