Review of Flents Brand Quiet! Please Ear Plugs

Hearing Protection, Leaf Blower, Plugs

Each night I struggle to get to sleep. My husband snores very loudly, and unless I get to sleep before he does (which is rare since I struggle with insomnia), I find it very difficult to get to sleep. I have been using ear plugs every night for the past five years, and believe me, some are more comfortable than others. All ear plugs are NOT created equal.

I must have purchased and tried at least 20 different brands of ear plugs over this time, and one of my favorites is made by a company called “Flents”. Their “Quiet! Please” ear plugs are a wonderful product. Here are a few facts about them:

* They are latex free (some people are allergic to latex)
* They reduce noise levels
* Flents has been making quality products since 1927
* “Noise Reduction Rating” (NRR) is 29 decibels
* They advertise you can sleep better naturally

They Are Easy To Use

These are cylinder shaped, soft foam ear plugs. To use, you roll them flat, then insert into the ear canal. As they expand back to their original shape they fill the ear canal, and block out unwanted noise.

They remain in my ears the entire night, and are easily removed the next morning.

My Experience

I love Flents ear plugs. I have used other products that were made of a firmer foam, and they irritated my ears so much that the inside of my ears were actually bleeding. My husband felt so bad he offered to get the surgery to prevent snoring. A friend of ours had the surgery done, and he was miserable for two weeks! I didn’t want to put my husband through that when I have now found a product that works, in a gentle way.

Protecting our hearing is so important. Once the hearing is damaged there is nothing that can be done to restore it. So many of our young kids don’t understand that, and it scares me the damage they are doing to their hearing with the loud headphones they use.

When we go out camping in our motorhome, some campgrounds can get quite noisy, well past the 10 pm quiet curfew. Often campers will arrive in the middle of the night, and aren’t exactly quiet about setting up their site. Even my husband wears these earplugs when we get out camping, and he reports a much more restful nights sleep.

Last week I was working in the yard with the leaf blower. It’s that time of year and instead of raking the leaves up, I was blowing them over the hill, but the leaf blower was pretty loud. Ear plugs are great when you are working around any kind of noisy machinery.

If you like to attend stock car races (we used to years ago), they can get really noisy. Having some of these Flents in your purse would be a good idea, especially if you have children with you. I take them to hockey games, because occasionally the noise levels there are over the top as well. When you can’t hear the person sitting right next to you over the music, it’s time to use some hearing protection.

These ear plugs come in a box of 25, and retail for less than $10.00. Considering the drug-free good nights sleep I get, that’s a bargain. They are some of the most comfortable ear plugs I have ever used.
