Review of the Carnival Fascination Cruise Ship on the Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival

The Carnival Fascination cruise ship is one of the smaller and older ships in the Carnival Cruise line fleet but there is plenty of fun on board. I will give you the skinny, the good and the bad, on the Carnival Cruise line ship, the Fascination. Provided are my experiences and observations on the fun ship. Learn the inside scoop on the food, cabins, service, and fun to be had on board!

Everything on the fun ship Fascination is immaculate, and the staff work very hard at keeping it ready for fun and enjoyment. Certain members of the Carnival Cruise staff, such as your assigned dinner waiter, or the person who maintains the cabin, will make it a point to know you by name to make you feel welcome.

Our ocean view cabin was small on the Carnival Fascination ship, but there was plenty of room for my husband and myself. The beds were comfy and our cabin had plenty of storage. The air conditioning kept our room comfortable, but the bathroom was small. I do not mean regular small, but really tight. The shower was one of the smallest I have seen and there is not much room in front of the toilet. Additionally, there was only one power outlet in the cabin. Turn down service included some light straightening in the room, more fresh towels, and the coolest towel animals that were put on guard until we arrived back from an evening of fun.

No one goes hungry on the Carnival Cruise Ship, The Fascination. The Lido deck has several buffets, and a deli that serves pizza all night long. Eat as little, or as much as you want. If you do not like something, no worries, there is plenty more just waiting to be tried. If sit down dining is more desirable, there are wonderful sit down dining areas onboard the Fascination as well.

Supper can be of your choosing on the Fascination cruise ship. Either hit the buffets or take advantage of a special menu in the sit down dining areas on this Carnival Cruise. Rather hang out in your room? Just pick up the phone for room service. My only complaint with the food on the Fascination is a small one. Sometimes on the buffets the food was not as warm as I would have liked it. This was never an issue in any of the sit down dining rooms on this Carnival Cruise.

If you are not having fun on the Carnival Fascination ship, it must be because you have been asleep. No matter the age, or preference of activities, there is something for everyone on a Carnival Cruise. The Lido deck is a happening zone on the Fascination. It sports 2 bars, food, pool, hot tubs, music, dancing, and any number of on-board contests that will keep passengers rolling. My only complaint would be concerning the pool. There is only one on the Fascination, and it can be crowded during peak hours.

There are plenty of shows and entertainment for all ages on a Carnival Cruise. The comedy club has routines for the young, and over 18, and the night club appeals to different ages at different times. On board activities, and clubs for kids and teens, can free mom and dad up to branch out on their own for relaxation, fun at the nightclub, gambling, bingo, time at the spa, or whatever.

A great onboard experience is why The Fascination is called the “Fun Ship”, and it does live up to fun and more. Before you leave this Carnival Cruise ship be sure to give the Bingo a try. I had never played before, but come out with 500 extra bucks for my efforts!
