Review of Beso’s Restaurant in Los Angeles

Ceviche, Hollywood Boulevard, Leather Chairs, Spanish Wine

Beso’s Restaurant in Los Angeles is definitely one of the celebrity hot spots as well as one of the many restaurants in Los Angeles with a dynamic celebrity chef behind the helm and a celebrity owner. Beso’s Restaurant is owned by Eva Longoria who has none other than celebrity Chef Todd English behind the creative culinary cuisine that is the heart of Beso’s. Located at 6350 Hollywood Boulevard in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, Beso’s Restaurant is the place to go for a unique fusion of Latin, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare (www.opentable.co).

Serving delectable Latin American and International cuisine, Beso’s Restaurant offers an incredible bold menu which puts a Latin twist and Middle Eastern influence on American fare or more precisely a Latin Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fusion type flair on steakhouse type cuisine. The food at Beso’s Restaurant is quite delicious as are the drinks. A favorite among regular patrons to Beso’s includes the signature tequilas and Spanish wine.

The setting at Beso’s Restaurant is light and airy as one might expect of a Los Angeles restaurant. Beso’s Restaurant features a dynamic ceviche bar, a juice bar, and a lounge area in addition to the regular dining space. Beso’s Restaurant is generally frequented by celebrities particularly with the owner being Eva Longoria Parker. Though the windows are darkly tinted once one enters Beso’s Restaurant the environment is transformed to rich woods, leather chairs, exposed beams, and sparkling chandeliers which light up the place with magic in the beautifully decorated upscale restaurant.

The kitchen at Beso’s Restaurant is much like several of the newer restaurants with the kitchen being open and diners being able to see Todd English at his craft and managing the kitchen staff. The food at Beso’s Restaurant is good with several of the main entrees being lobsters, steak, fish, shrimp, and other basic American fare. The steaks are definitely excellent particularly served with a house sauce served at Beso’s. If in doubt about the Beso’s sauce ask the waiter as this is something that should be tried.

The bar at Beso’s is as attractive as the restaurant and is generally quite busy as one of their top items is the handcrafted cocktail made with fresh local fruits. Definitely try the flatbread with the olive tapenade as well as the yellowtail ceviche. Both are great with the right cocktail. There is also a lounge upstairs but from all indications it is somewhat exclusive (www.laeater.com). Tuesday nights at Beso’s Lounge however is quite popular as that is a dance night and everyone comes out to dance in the company of celebrities (www.lanapkinnights.com).

Beso’s is open for dinner between the hours of 6:00PM up to 11:00PM for the last dinner seating. Prices range from $8.00 for small dishes up to approximately $50.00 for prize steakhouse cuts. The dress code is casual elegant. Valet parking is available for patrons of Beso’s for $10.00 (www.opentable.com).
