The clock design is really very attractive and the digits showing the time are shining yellow in color and are reasonably big in size so that seniors like us can see the time from even a large distance. There is also an AM/FM tuner radio available inbuilt. The voice level of this radio is also very good and the music intricacies can be enjoyed on this set. There is a feature of two alarms setting at a time, which is really a unique feature of this set. This proves really very convenient as two different persons can set alarms of their own choice.
There is a multiple provision of the tunes for the alarm system. You can also set your alarm on radio buzz voice. The set is very silent and does not give any sound that can disturb you during sleep. The setting of time, alarms, and the radio operation are extremely easy to operate and people of all ages can very well operate the unit. The unit is operated on the electricity. However, there is a battery back up available for protesting the alarms up to one day in case of power interruption during the day. The batteries are of 9V6F22 model that are easily available in the market. The life of batteries is also very good and I have still not replaced them after a constant use of around one year. There is also an auto sleep function for the radio set. You can drift off to a good sleep while listening to the radio and the radio shall get switched off on its own. The maximum sleep time is of 59 minutes. There is absolutely no maintenance on the unit and it keeps on running and running without any problems. The disposal of the unit is also very simple and there are no anti environmental products installed inside the set. However, I am sure that the time of disposal may not come that soon based on the satisfactory operation so far of the unit.
Some precautions are required to be followed while using the set. The unit should be kept in a dry, water free environment. The dry cloth should be used to clean the unit. The unit may not be installed near the source of heat generation like stove, radiators, or any other such sources. The unit is really a very useful asset and is used very extensively by me and my family. I purchased this unit at the price of US$ 30 from the Costco club store before around one year. I have no hesitation in recommending this useful product to all my friends, particularly to all the senior guys.
