Review of Evercare Lint Pic-Up Adhesive Roller

Lint, Lint Roller, Silk Plants, Window Screens

Growing up, if I had to get some lint off of a pair of pants, I used the trick that many of you probably used as well. I took a roll of masking tape, pulled off enough to wind it around the roll of tape and stick it back together.

This worked better than anything else, but using this method took forever since my rolls of masking tape were only about 1 inch wide! Thank goodness someone thought up these adhesive rollers! What a time saver they are.

The Evercare brand of Lint Pic-Up Adhesive roller contains 70 sheets of tape, much like masking tape, but they are a generous 6.5″ x 4″ in size. These make quick work of cleaning a pair of dress pants of lint and pet hair! The roll contains a total of 36.9 ft of tape, so it will last quite a while.

The blue and gray colored handle is what Evercare calls their premium handle, which contains a soft grip, something that my 3M lint roller doesn’t have. Not that it makes that much difference one way or the other. It certainly doesn’t make the product work any better, but if you are going to be using it for a big job, you’ll appreciate the comfort grip. The roller also has a hole in the top of the handle so that it can be hung up if so desired.

The Evercare uses their patented zip strip technology, which provides for easy to tear off sections, with no waste. The tape sections are quite tacky, and have given me a good performance every time I use them.

Lint rollers can be used for so much more than simply cleaning off that black dress or pair of pants. I use them for the following:

* Clean crumbs off countertop
* Remove pet hair from furniture
* Remove dandruff from clothing
* Clean lint particles from dryer
* Quickly clean up spilled coffee grounds
* Dust a lampshade
* Clean off the ironing board
* Pick up those loose hairs after a haircut
* Dust the leaves of silk plants
* Clean up crafting areas
* Use on pants after kids come in from the sandbox
* Quickly clean area rugs
* Use to clean your child’s car seat of cracker crumbs
* Clean dead bugs from windowsills
* Swipe across curtains or drapes
* Clean automobile interiors
* Remove lint and dust from window screens
* Clean up spilled pencil sharpener shavings

Allergy Help

My son-in-law is allergic to cats, and I have helped my daughter clean up some of her cloth furniture. These lint rollers will not only pick up the hair, but will remove dust and other allergens that have fallen onto either furniture or clothing.

I also clean my screens with them every spring. This is a job I just completed, and our bedroom window screens were full of a white colored fuzz, not sure what it was, but probably some sort of pollen. The lint roller did a great job of cleaning the screens, and didn’t put any of the allergens back into the air like dusting them would have.

Thoughts

The Evercare Lint Pic-Up is so versatile, there are a ton of uses for home and office. The product rolls smoothly, each sheet is easy to find and they tear off very easily.

I always hang onto the original wrapper. When I am done using the roller, I put the wrapper back on the roll, so it doesn’t stick to any surfaces where it’s being stored. Since there is a hole at the top of the handle, I hang it up in my broom closet and it’s always nearby when I need it.

I make earrings, and there have been numerous times that I have dropped a small jewelry finding or a small bead onto my carpet. Running the lint roller over the area usually finds my lost item! One of these adhesive rollers now sits on the shelf of my craft room!

We keep one of these in the glove box of our car. Not only does it do a nice job of cleaning the upholstery, but it’s come in handy when I need to quickly clean a pair of black pants on the way to church. (I don’t always notice how linty they are until I’m already in the car!!).

So, in conclusion, I am very happy with my Evercare lint roller. I have found so many uses for it that when we run low, it is always added to my shopping list.

I purchased mine for $4.00 at Fred Meyer.
