Reviews for the American Woodmark cabinets are mixed. Many people adore them and others feel they are shoddy. I personally find them to be a nice, fairly durable cabinet for the price. They are very reasonable to purchase and they look fantastic when installed. They would probably not stand up to extremely rough handling but the majority of people treat their cabinets gently. Perhaps if you were placing them in an apartment complex or a rental house they would not stand up well but for the average home owner who values their house these cabinets work wonderfully.
