Senseo Deluxe HD7820 Review

Brewing Coffee

Let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of coffee. I like a quality cup of coffee. I have a daily routine that involves at least two cups of coffee. I was finding that my second trip to my local Starbucks was getting to be very expensive. In trying to figure out a way to get a great cup of coffee reasonably priced, I researched what my options were. I was tired of making my own pots of coffee only to end up throwing half the pot away. Also, the quality of my measuring was always inconsistent leaving my with different strength coffee each day. I typed in single serve coffee into my search engine and into my life walked the Senseo Deluxe. If that sounds a bit too dramatic that is because I feel that strongly about my Senseo.

First, let’s start with the features. The Senseo Deluxe boasts a larger water reservoir, adjustable spout to accommodate cups up to 4 3/4 inches tall, and two settings for cup sizes. The device, in its bonus pack version, comes with a variety of extras. You are given 2 bags of Senseo pods, a pod holder, 3 different pod brewing trays, a glass Senseo cup, and coupons. This is a great value! After a simple 2 minute flush and clean your Senseo is ready to be used. I had my first cup minutes after I had it out of the box.

Now on to benefits. The Senseo allows you to brew one cup or two cups at a time. You press one button to heat up the water, when the light stays red you are ready to go. You then open the lid, place in the pod, close the lid and press your selection. In less than a minute your coffee is ready. It could not be any more convenient. With its auto shut off feature, you do not even have to worry about whether or not you shut the Senseo off. You will no longer have to scoop or grind coffee, pour it into a filter, and fill the water reservoir each time. The Senseo is by far the greatest way to enjoy a good cup of coffee.

This brings us to perhaps the most important part, the quality of the coffee. Let me preface this by saying I enjoy quality coffee. I love Starbucks and I can not stand Dunkin Donuts watery attempt at a cup of coffee. So where does Senseo fit into this scale? I would put Senseo just under Starbucks. Lets face it you are still brewing coffee at home or at the office. However, the quality is excellent! The dark roast is my favorite. It is smooth and bold. With a drop of milk it is the best coffee I have brewed in my home. With the Senseo Deluxe you can decide how many pods to use or what size cup is your preference.

Overall, the Senseo Deluxe was a great purchase. If you are the type of person who likes to have a quick cup of coffee that taste great and produces little mess, then the Senseo Deluxe is for you. Of all the one cup coffee machines it produces the least amount of waste. Most of the other makers use plastic containers that are not environmentally friendly. With all of its benefits and choices of coffee the Senseo is in a league of its own. Enjoy!
