Product Review: Chrome Plated Revolving Shoe Organizer

Dress Shoes

Are your shoes stuffed under your bed, or piled in your closet so thick you don’t even know what you have? If so, this revolving shoe organizer may be just what you need to finally get all those shoes organized.

One of the biggest problems in my house is that we always have too many shoes lying around. It’s like, “I don’t really have that many shoes, do I?” Yet believe it or not, I’m betting on average we all own about 10 pairs of shoes. Is this possible you say? Yes actually, it’s quite possible. Think for a minute. We all have a pair of run around tennis shoes right? And at least one pair of dress shoes? Probably black. But then if we have a black pair of dress shoes, we of course need a brown pair as well. Since it’s obviously not good fashion to wear black and brown shoes and clothing together, right? But wait, are these dress shoes the same ones you wear at the office or your job? I am also betting you have that ‘good’ pair of tennis shoes. The ones you wear when you go out in public. Not that pair of run around shoes you wear mowing the lawn. And this gets us into having a pair of outside work shoes or boots. Do you have a pair you wear in the garden? Or how about a pair you wear when you go fishing? Or camping? Or hiking? Or let me guess, you don’t do any of those activities so you don’t need a pair for that right? How about a pair of boots? I mean if it snows where you live, what do you wear then? Do you have winter shoes? And if you have winter, well of course you probably need the opposite of that. A pair of sandals! Probably two pair for good measure. Oh and wait, I didn’t even cover any sporting activities. Basketball? Softball? Baseball? Volleyball? Tennis? Running? Hunting? Any of these ring a bell? Ok I’m sure you get the point by now. We all own around 10 pairs of shoes. And if you are like me, I hate having them take up my entire closet space and other floor space in my room! So to fix my shoe problem, when I saw this chrome plated revolving shoe organizer in the store one day, I thought what the heck, I’m going to try it. But has it been a good buy thus far?

PROS
To begin, this chrome plated revolving shoe organizer definitely is eye appealing! It is in no way an eye sore like some clumsy shoe organizers. And better yet, it is only 3 feet high and less than 1 foot wide! That means it only takes up 1 foot of floor space! No more big clucky take up all the space in your bedroom shoe organizers anymore. You can easily place this chrome plated revolving shoe organizer inside your closet or next to your dresser. And to make the shoes easy to get at, this organizer spins 360 degrees so you can easily grab any pair of shoes you want.

CONS
I am not going to lie. Trying to find a con about this revolving shoe organizer was actually quite difficult. However one problem that I do find with this revolving shoe organizer is that it is not really equipped to hold high boots or work boots. Not because they weigh too much, but because the space between each ring of shoe holders/tiers is not far enough apart to place the shoes if your foot size is bigger than most. This shoe organizer does not state a specific shoe size that it holds up to, but if I had to guess, I would say any shoe size over a 13 in men’s probably will not fit.

PRICE
The biggest problem about pricing this chrome plated revolving shoe organizer is that is it quite to find in retail stores. I was fortunate enough to find mine at Target for $19.99, and I have since seen it in a Harriet Carter magazine. However I have yet to see this product in any other physical retail store. I have searched online for this product and have found a lot more success. Various online stores I have found it at include: sportsmansguide.com, barginoutfitters.com, organizeit.com, and clearpointdirect.com. The average online price I found ranges from a shade under $20 on up to almost $30.
