Water Toy Review : Torpedo Twister by Swimways

Pool Parties

Are you looking for a pool toy that is fun in the day, but even more fun at night? Well, the Toypedo Twister by Swimways is a toy that meets your needs. The glow in the dark action makes it a great night time pool party toy. I must admit that when I heard the claims by Swimways that the Toypedo Twister by Swimways can travel up to 40 feet underwater I had major doubts. After seeing the Toypedo Twister by Swimways in action though, I have to admit that it actually can travel at least close to that 40 foot distance underwater, if not further. As an added feature, the Toypedo Twister by Swimways even glows in the dark making it a great toy for your night time pool parties in the summer.

The Toypedo Twister by Swimways is a very sturdy toy that will not fall apart in the pool like some nerf style, or foam toys do. The Toypedo Twister by Swimways is constructed of hard rubber and that helps it become a very durable toy. As a parent do not worry about the hard rubber hurting your child. Even though this toy can travel up to 40 feet under water it does not move at a high enough rate of speed to cause a significant injury.

For those of you that would like to know how to get the maximum amount of fun from your Toypedo Twister by Swimways , I have some suggestions on how to throw it underwater to get the maximum distance. My first tip with this toy is that you should only put it two or three inches under water, too many people think it will travel further the deeper you throw it and that is not true. Your best method for “throwing” the Toypedo Twister by Swimways is more of a push with one hand on either side of the toy. Keep in mind that you do need to use some force, but that excessive power is not needed to get the maximum distance. The mechanics built into the Toypedo Twister by Swimways is what provides the distance.

The fins on the Toypedo Twister by Swimways rotate as it travels through the water providing the energy to give it the distance that the manufacturer claims. If you use the Toypedo Twister by Swimways at night in the pool you will get a great effect from the glow in the dark surface of the Toypedo Twister by Swimways and get your own light display in the pool.

This is a fun toy for any child over the age of five years old. I have found that younger children can use it but must have parental supervision. Too often younger children end up playing with it in a way that can harm other children including throwing it in the air instead of under the water. Overall though this is a great toy that you can find for less than $15, and during sales under $10.
