Nexcare Cold Sore Treatment Review

Cold Sore Remedies, Cold Sores, Nasal Drops

Cold sores can make one’s life miserable. They make it hard to smile at someone, they make it difficult to enjoy food, they make it painful to talk with others and a person just has to hope and hope some more that he or she does not get the urge to yawn when a cold sore is present! Any of the aforementioned actions can agitate a cold sore and make the person carrying the cold sore agitated as well. Cold sores can also choose to stick around day after day, meaning one will experience noticeable pain and discomfort day after day. Plus, there is also the matter of having an ugly cold sore on one’s lips for all to see. Cold sores are just an all around hassle to deal with and naturally, there is a market out there for products that are designed to numb the pain caused by cold sores as well as heal the cold sores up faster. Nexcare Cold Sore Treatment is one such product that retails for around thirteen dollars and is available to any one for purchase.

Nexcare Cold Sore Treatment is supposed to do a number of things, including alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by cold sores, moisturize the troubled area while administering soothing vitamins and minerals and make the cold sore scab less noticeable and ugly. What the cream is supposed to do and what it actually does are two different things, though. To an extent, the medication does work, but it is only effective to a minor extent. It does not work well to mask the pain. Talking will still cause jolts of pain to erupt from the cold sore, although if this medication has been applied, then at least the pain will not last as long. I would have preferred a product that better concealed that initial amount of discomfort that comes from smiling or speaking.

The medication does seem to make the cold sore a little less obvious, but a person is still going to be able to tell that you have a cold sore, so whether the cold sore is very noticeable or just somewhat noticeable is pretty irrelevant. What I was more interested in was the medication helping to heal the cold sore faster than simply letting it heal on its own, but I did not notice any quicker healing while applying this medication as opposed to not using any medication. That definitely disappointed me as I was still stuck with a persistent cold sore that was causing me noticeable discomfort and the Nexcare product that I had spent over ten dollars on was not doing much to help.

The Nexcare Cold Sore Treatment product eases the pain caused by cold sores only slightly. It is hardly worth the pricey price tag that hangs below the product. It also manages to make a cold sore appear a little less unsightly, but I was more interested in a medication that would bring about relief and encourage quicker healing. This cold sore treatment medication barely made having a cold sore more bearable and that is why I will not bother with it again.
