Recently, I was stunned to find a Dr. Leonard’s Heathcare Catalog in my mail box. I wondered how I had gotten on their mailing list, figuring it was surely a mistake! I don’t need arthritis creams, a nose hair trimmer, a blood pressure monitor, orthopedic insoles, denture whitener, a raised toilet seat, or any of the other products they sell to the elderly or infirmed. Sure, most of the catalog does contain health-related products, but there were also plenty of other items as well.

When it comes to items like curtains, Dr. Leonard’s Heathcare catalog obviously doesn’t offer a wide variety of styles and designs. However, I did spot a Jacquard curtain set I liked, so I read its detailed description. For $12.95, you got two curtain panels, a valance, two tie backs and a sheer. All six pieces were attached to form one set. So, all you had to do is hang a set on a single rod, and you had an instant, complete window treatment. I was impressed. Dr. Leonard’s offers free shipping on all orders, so I was now even more influenced to make a purchase.
The prices on other products, whether they were on sale or not, seemed pretty reasonable too.

Conclusion
I did order two pairs of the Jacquard curtains from Dr. Leonard’s address in Edison, New Jersey. Calling their toll-free number was easy. You can also order via snail mail or by FAX. As I said, the shipping was free, but I was unhappy to be charged a $3.95 handling charge plus $1.95 for insurance. I know these are standard charges, but I still don’t like them. The curtains arrived about a week later. They’re exactly as they were described in Dr. Leonard’s Heathcare catalog. And, they look nice hanging up in my guest bedroom.
