Cold Fire Extinguisher Reviews

As Seen on TV

The Cold Fire Extinguisher was the star of Discovery Channel’s second season premiere and it did not disappoint. I’ve been an As Seen On TV fan for several years and never have I had such a desire to see a product in action as this one.

There were rumblings about Cold Fire and how successful it might be as an As Seen On TV product and, because it possesses the “WoW” factor, I expected those rumblings to be true. What I didn’t expect was a product with no downside. Most products don’t deliver on the promises of these marketers but in this case I see no drawbacks and expect to see a full fledged hit on our hands.

In case you didn’t see it, the Cold Fire Extinguisher is a non toxic, completely eco friendly liquid that not only puts out fires, but can protect from fire damage as well. To demonstrate this point, the inventor’s son sprayed some on his arm and then tried to burn himself with a blow torch. This was not a trick but a real demonstration. He did not burn at all.

The formula for Cold Fire is a closely guarded secret but it actually cools the fire and when it is put out, the burned area is cool to the touch. It reminds me of the tiles used on the outside of the space shuttle that repel the heat and never even get warm. However it works, it is amazing.

The benefits of this type of fire extinguisher are obvious but the fact that it comes in a small spay can makes this a must have for every household. There is no reason not to be prepared for a fire with a product like this available and offered at such a low price. However, it was the size of the package that initially worried firefighters as they tested the product on Pitchmen.

Each fireman had their doubts about such a small extinguisher’s ability to put out a fire but as they tested it they were more and more impressed. The Cold Fire easily put out a small grease fire, extinguished a burning chair and stopped a burning Christmas Tree in its tracks. By the end of the demonstration, each firefighter gave the Cold Fire Extinguisher raving reviews. This was not a set up either because no fire department would endorse a fire retardant that might be dangerous. Fireman are usually big proponents of fire prevention and recommending that we keep one of these on hand in case of fire wouldn’t be tolerated unless they truly believed it worked.

I was a little surprised the fire department didn’t point out any flaws and changed their view that Cold Fire was too small to be effective. Coupled with these reviews and the fact that this would play big on prime time television spurred the Pitchmen team to go ahead and try and turn Cold Fire into the next “hot” product.

Even though this show is designed to entertain with its over the top carnival like presentations, this product is no joke. Cold Fire has been on the commercial market for a few years, but turning it into a household item was proving difficult for the company so they turned to the Pitchmen. If the reactions to first showing of the episode are any indication, then Cold Fire Extinguishers are going to be everywhere. This is certainly a job well done by all and we should start to see even more of a buzz about Cold Fire.
