Kellogg’s Cinnabon Pancakes Review

Cinnabon, Cinnamon Buns, kellogg's, Pancakes

I’m a huge fan of pancakes, but I admit that my pancakes always turn out wrong. So, when I want pancakes at home, I turn to the freezer section. A few weeks ago, I was browsing the frozen breakfast foods and spotted Kellogg’s Cinnabon Pancakes. I also love cinnamon buns, so this seemed like a winning product. But, how would they taste?

Kellogg’s Cinnabon Pancakes are basically regular pancakes with some cinnamon added to them. The cinnamon was in little pockets, almost like the pancakes on the McGriddles from McDonald’s. In my honest opinion, they didn’t have a lot of cinnamon flavor, like you might find in a cinnamon bun. They were sweet, but it just seemed like something was missing – probably the icing. I think this product would have benefited from having a packet of frosting for each portion of pancakes.

Heating Kellogg’s Cinnabon Pancakes is very easy and can be done in the microwave or oven. For the microwave, you will need to heat the pancakes in a single layer on high for 30 seconds for one pancake up to 1 minute, 15 seconds for three. In the oven, the pancakes bake loosely covered in foil at 350 degrees for 12 minutes, also in a single layer.

A serving of Kellogg’s Cinnabon Pancakes is three. This serving contains 270 calories, 8 grams of fat, 1.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 15mg of cholesterol, 480mg of sodium, 50mg of potassium, 45 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 16 grams of sugar, 28 grams of other carbohydrates and 5 grams of protein. For the size of these pancakes, this isn’t your best choice for breakfast.

I would have to give Kellogg’s Cinnabon Pancakes 3 out of 5 stars. It’s a fun idea, but the flavor is lacking. Personally, I would have preferred more cinnamon and some frosting. I still recommend trying this product. It isn’t bad by any means and a nice change from plain frozen pancakes. A 12 count box will cost around $3 to $4, which is around the same price as other name brands of frozen pancakes.
