Greek Themed Party Favors for Adults

Are you thinking about planning a Greek themed party for your friends and family? If not, you may want to give the concept some thought. Based on my experience, it is a great theme to work with. It also lends itself to the use of a multitude of party favor options. Here’s a passing glance at a few of them:

Individual Servings of Baklava

Over the years, I have found that individual servings of baklava make wonderful party favors. This is especially the case when those servings of baklava are placed in pretty presentation boxes. Although there are different types of baklava that may be used for such purposes, I’d suggest going with a baklava cheesecake. In my experience, it’s often unexpected and tends to hold up well inside a presentation box. You could opt to make your own baklava cheesecake or order one from a Greek bakery. Prices will vary. As far as the presentation boxes go, you can typically purchase them through packaging related retailers. On average, a 200-piece case of bakery boxes is likely to cost you $125.

Individual Bottles of Spirits

Individual bottles of Greek spirits like ouzo, rakomello and tsipouro would make ideal party favors too. You can typically purchase miniature bottles of the spirits through Greek importers, liquor stores and specialty shops. In general, each miniature bottle of Greek spirits is apt to cost you $2. I’d also suggest embellishing the bottles with blue and white ribbons to match the colors of the Greek flag.

Bags of Jordan Almonds

Diminutive tulle bags or boxes filled with blue and white colored Jordan almonds are another party favor option that you may want to consider utilizing. Blue and white colored Jordan almonds are often available for purchase through candy retailers like Oh! Nuts. Just make sure that you order the navy blue almonds. Based on my experience, they tend to match the blue used in the country’s flag fairly well. With that said, a 1 pound bag of blue and white Jordan almonds will lighten your wallet by about $6. A 20-piece case of clear favor boxes, on the other hand, are apt to cost you $7 through packaging retailers like Paper Mart.

Greek Flag Bead Necklace

Last but not least, you may want to think about investing in a case of Greek Flag Bead Necklaces. The necklaces that I am familiar with feature white and blue beads along with a replica of the Greek flag. I like using the necklaces as party favors because they can also be used as part of your guests’ place settings. For example, you could use the necklaces as part of a wrapped silverware bundle. You could also convert them into wine charms or place cards. The choice is yours. Each necklace tends to retail for $3 each. You can usually purchase them through companies like U.S. Toy.
