Duran Duran, “Decade, Greatest Hits”

Duran Duran, Girl's Bedroom, Greatest Hits, John Taylor

The 80’s were a vibrant time in our history, with the fluorescent colors of clothing to the opulent choices of music. You cannot talk about music of the eighties without including Duran Duran.
The band members originated out of the United Kingdom and began with three original members, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Stephen Duffy. Three other members were eventually added, Roger Taylor, Andy Taylor and of course Simon Le Bon. Since that time there have been several additions and replacements to the band members.
This group had the typical look of the time, a kind of fun and wacky fashion style. The wisps of hair, the make-up, the clothing, it all added up to an unforgettable image and many youths followed suite by way of following the fad.
They became very popular among the teen scene and were looked upon as teen idols. Posters adorned almost every teen girl’s bedroom wall. Everyone had their favorite member.
Some of the more memorable song include: Rio, My Own Way, Hungry Like the Wolf, Girls On Film, The Reflex, New Moon On Monday, Wild Boys, Notorious, and Save A Prayer. Some compared them to a modern day Beatle mania. One of their songs became the theme song to a James Bond flick entitled A View to a Kill, the same title as the song.
Eventually, the band became a trio but continued to push forward. Today you can still find Simon Le Bon making music, but you have to search pretty hard.
If you would like to find an album that truly encompasses the legacy that Duran Duran left behind, I suggest, “Decade, Greatest Hits”. Listed are a few locations where you might purchase this album.
