For many women who are pregnant for the first time, going into labor will just happen out of the blue by having their water break.That can be a very scary experience if the woman is alone. A woman may be in labor for a few hours without even knowing it.

There are a few signs out there that will help you become more prepared and give you an idea labor is sure to be on it’s way with in a few weeks. There are even small signs to look for that mean your labor process has already begun. In this article I will share with you some ways to help you have a better idea on when your baby is ready to make an entrance into the world.

A few things a woman may experience leading up to her delivery will be as stage called lightening process, which means the baby is dropping and moving closer down your abdomen and resting near your uterus. As you know, many women towards the end of their pregnancy will use the bathroom more often .The reason is that the baby is pressing down on the bladder. If you are experiencing all this, it’s a sure sign your baby will be born with in a few weeks.

There’s a sure sign that the labor process has started is when your mucus plug will come out when you are in the bathroom or you will notice the remains in your underwear. You will see mucus that is slightly red, clear, or it may even be brown.This is all a normal occurrence meaning your baby is slowly moving down you birth canal, and your body was just making room. At this time you may also suffer from back pain.

Many women will experience a condition called Braxton Hicks, which are false contractions that will last a few minutes and then go away . You will feel a contraction sensation through out your stomach and back area . If they don’t get stronger and are more often you are in a false labor. However many woman can not tell the difference sometimes . The main thing to look for is how far apart the contractions are.This is why you should make sure to keep track of the duration and intensity of the contractions. It is always better to be safe than sorry. A mother and child’s safety is most important and it is never foolish to not get it checked out .

My best friend went to the hospital a few times with Braxton Hicks contractions and when the real labor rolled around, she had no idea up until her water broke. This whole experience made her feel nervous and rushed. That is why it is always best to know what signs to look for .

Keep in mind every woman is different and will go through something else when getting ready to give birth . Also, don’t think every birth will feel the same . Most are very simple and easy if you are working with a trained professional and work on your breathing techniques .Remember the best kind of pregnancy to have is a stress free one with much support. That could make all the difference in the world.
