Olive Oil Bath Oil for Aging Skin

We all like to know ways to slow down the aging process and keep our skin and body looking the best. A natural way to help slow down the aging process and keep our bodies looking the best is by soaking in homemade olive oil bath oil. Olive oil contains natural antioxidants and moisturizers in it that help slow down the aging process and nourish our bodies and skin naturally.

The organic ingredients needed to make the olive oil bath oil are 6 cups of extra virgin olive oil, 50 drops of calendula oil and 40 drops of your favorite scented essential oil. I prefer to use chamomile essential oil in my olive oil bath oil because it is calming and soothing. You may use lavender, tea tree oil, peppermint, citrus or vanilla essential oils if you prefer. Basically, you want to make the bath oil relaxing and soothing for you.

The easiest way to make the olive oil bath oil is by pouring the ingredients directly into a large bottle or mason jar and mixing together with a spoon until they are evenly combined together. Then you will have a soothing homemade olive oil bath oil to use in a warm bath to help soften and pamper your skin and body from head to toe naturally. You will want to store the bath oil close to the bathtub so it is easy to get to when you want to use it.

To make a soothing and pampering bath that will slow down the signs of aging while nourishing the skin all you do is fill the bathtub up with plenty of hot water that is easy for you to touch with your hands. Then you pour 1 cup of bath oil directly into the bathwater and swish it around a little bit with your hands. You will notice the bath oil will float on top of the water, but this is perfectly okay. Next, you simply get into the bath and soak for as long as you can. I prefer to soak in the olive oil bath for around 30 minutes so it can really pamper and nourish my skin naturally. After soaking, it is best to pat the skin dry with a towel. The skin will feel slightly oily, but just give your skin time to absorb the moisture left on the skin which usually takes about 10 minutes after the bath so simply just keep the towel wrapped around you and finish doing other things such as your hair or makeup. Once the rest of the oil has absorbed into the skin you will be able to tell how silky smooth the skin is and the lovely glow it has. Taking a bath in this homemade olive bath oil several times per week will help keep the skin looking young, vibrant, firmed, well toned and super soft. Just be careful because this bath oil can make the bathtub slippery so make sure you cleanse the tub down well after using it.
