But what are the benefits you actually get from joining and giving PetSmart your personal information, like your name, address, phone number and sometimes more? Well at PetSmart the savings that you get are worth the 2 minutes it takes to fill out the form, whether in the store or online from the comfort of your home.
If you would rather sign up for the program via the web from your home then all you have to do is visit Petsmart’s website. Once there you just need to click on the “Pet Perks” is online icon and it will take you to a page that is full of information on the Pet Perks program. From there you click the enroll tab and it brings up the Pet Perks Enrollment form.
Now if you’ve already signed up for in store discount cards then you know that they ask for your name, address, phone number and usually an email address and that’s no different here. But in addition to those common questions they also ask for your pet’s type, your pet’s name as well as their gender and birthday. They ask for your pet’s birthday because they send out birthday cards for them along with a little coupon for you to buy your pet a birthday present. After you have submitted the application you see a message pop up that you should receive your card and welcome packet in about two weeks.
Now if you would prefer to sign up in store they automatically enter it directly into the computer at the register while your being rung up. During this transaction your Pet Perks account is automatically activated and you will receive any discounts offered to Pet Perks card holders during this transaction. You will also leave the store with your Pet Perks card in hand. And within two weeks you will receive your welcome packet that is loaded with over $150.00 in coupon savings.
I personally signed up in the store and since getting my Pet Perks card have used it every single time I shop at PetSmart. Some of the “Perks” I like about the Pet Perks card are the emails I get of upcoming sales that will be taking place in the store. Getting that advanced notice helps me plan out and do a little budgeting, and in this economy every little bit helps. I love the fact that since signing up I get additional coupon’s both via snail mail as well as email. But the best “perk” by far is that every single month PetSmart offers their Pet Perks member’s specialty sales pricing on over one thousand items in their stores. Yes that’s right, I said over one thousand items. Now who wouldn’t want to take advantage of those saving’s?
Now in addition to all of these “Perks” if you register your Pet Perks account online at PetSmart’s website you also get access to Pet Perks exclusive partner offers that you otherwise wouldn’t. You also get online account management as well as private sales in store and online. The thing I have found most helpful about registering my account online with them is the easy access I now have to pet care articles and little tips here and there about specialty products they carry.
There are too many benefits that come along with the Pet Perks program to not sign up for it. As a “pet parent” I want to make sure my babies have everything they need and a lot of what they like and want. And having this Pet Perks card allows me on my budget to get everything on my list and at a huge savings.
